Tina — Plan B; Pt. 81
At first she does nothing. Her face seems almost frozen. But then a smile. A small, very cute smile, grows into something far larger and more stunning. “T?”
“Times like this, us, together. I miss them.”
“I do, too,” she admits.
“I thought we could maybe try for a couple days. See if we can still co-exist successfully.”
Her look became more serious. “Are you really sure? I don’t want you to feel like you have to do this, Tina.”
Am I sure? I’m not sure of anything anymore, which is the only thing that I’m sure of. “I think it’s time to try.”
“And?” She motions with her head back towards Jess’s room.
“She doesn’t know, yet. I can tell her tomorrow.” And won’t that be fun.
“Only if you’re really sure, T.”
“Please don’t take this the wrong way, Bette, but I miss sleeping with you.”
To this, she raises an eyebrow.
“No euphemisms. Just sleep.”
“I miss that, also,” she gives me a wink. “As well as the euphemisms.”
From that, I feel a blush rising. We’ve certainly been getting reacquainted on a physical front. But that’s really not what I’m looking for here. And I think she understands that.
I smile, leaning my head back, and take in a deep breath, releasing it slowly. This, the closeness, the togetherness, this is what I miss.
But suddenly, I find myself jostled as Bette works her way out from under my legs.
“I’m sorry.” And with that she’s off the couch, phone in hand. “I need to take this,” she whispers, and moves into the kitchen.
About this time I realize how little the phone, the interruptions, have made an appearance in our time together.
There were times in the past when it seemed that Bette’s phone was an additional, and often unwanted, member of the family.
Now, well, now it just doesn’t seem to be as much of an issue for me.
My wine glass is almost empty, however, which is an issue. One easily solved, as I see that Bette has left the bottle on the table.
I reluctantly stand and head over to pour another splash into my glass.
While my intention wasn’t to eavesdrop, I can’t help but hear parts of the conversation.
“I promise you, she doesn’t know.”
Hmm?
“Trust me. I’ve taken care of everything.”
Is this her artist visit, I wonder?
“When I get back from the coast, we’ll take care of everything.”
Or not.
“Yes, she’ll be totally out of our way. Just the two of us.”
She’ll be totally out of the way? That phrase. Who’s “she”? Jess? Me?
I regret what I’ve just heard, especially in light of what I’ve just asked.
Who did I just invite to live in my home and share my bed?

wheres the 80 ch?
Beautiful and wellpaced at first and then just troubling. You’ve got me more than a little worried here *biting my fingernails*
“stem sudsy from stolen sips” … wicked alliteration! And a welcome continuation to the story. Whenever you can…
yea i thought so too..we’re missing a chapt here…..and what in the world is going on?!….better post soon to explain yourslef!
I’m sure Bette’s doing something really nice for TIna and Tina’s just going to play ‘jump to conclusions’ and possibly ruin it. I can see how this will later play in that “teasing” future scene you left us with. I think, for once, Bette had her priorities straight and Tina just needs to learn to trust again. Great Update!!!
What?! Who?! Coast? West or East? I hope it’s Bette planning a special surprise for Tina and Jess and nothing bad. Please, oh, please, take care of this old heart of mine. Thanks for your time (I know how busy life can get, after all, the bon-bons won’t be eaten by themselves!). Hope to see another post soon.
Uh oh! Has Tina not learnt anything? When trying to resolve trust issues it does no good to jump to conclusions! EVERYONE ends up getting upset. Oh boy, let’s hope they talk this one through before things get out of hand. I very much doubt it though. Since Bette does end up staying I figure things are okay enough, or Tina doesn’t know how to say she’s changed her mind.I wanna see what Jess’ reaction is to having Porter stay over for a few days…and nights. Me thinks she will not be liking it one little bit.
Ohh the big blow up is on it’s way. I think Tina is probably jumping to conclusions.
RUTRO, don’t mess this up Bette!
This is still one of my favorite stories… please continue when you can. Thanks!!!!
Still loving this story, thanks for posting, next NC17 huh, yummy!!!
Why didn’t I see pt80? Did I miss something? There’re 3 more chapters to pt85–the exploding one. I guess Tina won’t ask Bette, but will still second guess till explode…
Oh my…the things we imagine when we overhear…this is just not good!
Who was….what the….when did….MAAUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! What is going on, and why is Bette being sneaky? Why, Pseud, WHY?!? :(
oh, um…glad to read the update, by the way. :)
pseud, as always I’ve enjoyed yet another chapter of your amazing writing, thank you for sharing your gift with us.I’d also like to encourage all of the non-writers, such as myself, who enjoy reading all of these wonderful stories to please subscribe, I have.
ok, first of all – what happened to ch. 80?; second of all – no way Bette would do something nasty and Tina just jumping to conclusions, all she needs is ask, TALK people, it’s Bette, ask her…oh, i’m so dreading ch. 85, you are killing us
I believe that Bette is planing a surprie for Tina, She is not crazy to mess with Tinas heart again,Tina needs to stop and think.and notjump to something that could cause trouble. thanks
im with betty and b&tf – bette wouldl never hurt tina again. and shes jumping to conclusions just like freaking out about her going to ny to do business. god. i i over heard that i would so be in her face and having her explain it right the fuck now. oh you are so evil. god please be nice. p
I love this story post when you can.
all I can say is it starts out so sweet and then ouch – and I can’t believe the Bette we’ve been getting to know would say such things in Tina’s house?
Oh, it’s that trust issue coming into play again. Bette wouldn’t mess this up again after what seems to be a new start for them…Thanks for the post.
Who’s more startled and jangled by that call – Tina or me? We were both lulled into a calm place and then brought back to reality. Damn that cell phone! Can we go back down memory lane again? Wait – let me go get my slippers and a glass of wine. Save me a spot on the couch. I’ll be right back…
This was by far your calmest and most serene chapter. I really liked it. More! More!
So Bette is probly talking about her new art galarie or something, right…please fix this or does this chapter lead us up to chapter 85? hmmmmm…post soon
Ok what the hell now!
