    This is my version of how Tina should have reacted when Adele tried to kick her off the set!

    Tina shook her head in disgust. Devious was a perfect word to describe this woman. What did she do, have someone following her around, spying on her?

    “And I know that you understand that it makes it really difficult for me to do my job, when you’re on MY set.”

    “Adele, I’m the Producer of this movie. I’ve busted my ass putting it together. Why would I let you kick me off the set?”

    “Huh…” With her cigarette dangling from her fingers, shaking her head as if the answer was obvious, Adele replied. “Because you want this picture on schedule and on budget.”

    Tina could do nothing but laugh out loud at the audacity and stupidity of the younger woman.

    Lowering her voice, not wanting to make a scene, she leaned forward. “Okay wait. I want to get this straight. You are threatening me with an over budget movie that will not wrap in time if I don’t leave the set. Is that right?”

    Adele just raised one eyebrow and smirked, still believing she held all the power over the studio, which included Tina Kennard.

    This time Tina’s laughter attracted the attention of Kathy, Sam, and several other of the cast and crew.

    “No Adele. That isn’t right is it? Maybe I didn’t word it right when I said I was the Producer of this film, so let me try this again.”

    Leaning even closer so she was now in Adele’s personal space, Tina reached up and before Adele could react, snatched the cigarette from between her fingers and tossed it over her shoulder. Adele opened her mouth to say something, but Tina held up her finger in front of Adele’s face stopping her.

    “Let me introduce myself to you one more time. My name is Tina Kennard. I am the Producer of Les Girls, but more importantly I am the Executive Vice President of Shaolin Studios. And, as the Executive Vice President, part of my job is to hire…and fire if necessary the Director of any film we hold the rights to.”

    Adele opened her mouth to speak, but Tina put up her hand again, shutting her down.

    “Just how stupid are you Adele? Hmm? No, don’t answer,” Tina said shaking her head. “I could care less how stupid you are.” Resting her hands on her hips, Tina started to let out the steam that had been building up since she sat in the conference room and watched as Adele played out her little scheme.

    17. Wow, I bet no one will $### with you. The only thing that would have been better is Adele making a threatening move towards Tina and Tina laying her out and the police hauling her off. I hate devious people and usually couldn’t keep my cool long enough to mentally power through in an intelligent way rather than plow through like a tornado or wild fire wind. Love your writing and if I ever get backed into a corner again I am coming to you for advice.

    18. Sea, that was great and I would have loved to see Tina do this on the show. Alpha Tina at her best and I for one would have loved to see Tina deck Adele when she gave that shitty little smirk after turning her back and lighting a cigarette, and especially that pregnant pause before offering up the line about the movie being on budget and on time. Tina should have hit her so hard that it would have lifted the little bit– off her feet. Anywho, loved your rendition of how it should have been. Teriffically AWESOME. Hope this continues for another couple chapters. You have not lost anything in three mos, as if you could.
