“And I rode with them because I let Max use my car to pick up some equipment for my website.” said a smirking Alice.

“Bette we weren’t spying on you two, honest.” said Shane.

“So you saw us.” said Bette.

“Yes we did.” said Tina.

“As well as half of the people on your block.”

Helena placed her hand across Bette’s and gave it a gentle squeeze before turning her attention back to their friends. “We had planned to tell you all about us tonight but I guess you had plans of your own. It’s not that we didn’t want anyone to know about us, we just weren’t ready to tell anyone about us until now.

“We know this maybe a little awkward right now for some of you, but I really like being with her. So get use to it, we are now officially a couple. So if you will excuse me I want to dance with my girlfriend, Helena.” taking her hand they made their way toward the dance floor beautifully dressed and watched by all.

“Hey could you give me a moment with them.” Tina asked Jordan.

“Go get them tiger, but save the last dance for me.” as she kissed her on the cheek.

Tina walked toward the dance floor and stopped in her tracks. She couldn’t stop herself from staring at her two ex’s. They really did look good together. Everything about them seemed so perfect. Their hair, the height, their body make up. And the way their bodies moved when they dance could do nothing but compliment the other. Breaking out of her trance she tapped Bette on the shoulder.

“Hey can an ex-girlfriend squeeze in between her ex-girlfriends for a minute?”

“Anytime Tina, what’s up? Said Bette.

“I just want to say I’m happy for you both.”

“Thank Tee”

“Thanks Tina”

“No I want to thank you both. Bette to see you smile again when you’re happy is a beautiful sight to see. And Helena to hear you speak of someone who has captured your heart is music to my ears. You two are very special and you will always have my support. Now if you ladies will excuse me I owe someone a dance.” kissing them both she took her leave.

Both watched as she walked away and began to slowly dance once again.

“You know we have some good friends.” Bette whispered in her ear.

“We have great friends.” replied Helena.

“We do don’t we?”

“Yes we do.”

“So do you think our friends would be mad if we call it a night?”

“Maybe”

“So we shouldn’t do it, right?”

“Probably not.”

“So are you ready?”

As they walked slowly to the door never did they look up once nor wave bye to their friends as they exist the doors.

“They‘re leaving.” said Jenny.

“Was there any doubt.” said Kit.

Their friends watched in silence as they left. Not wanting to break the spell that was transforming right before their eyes. Their was only a few things most people bare witness to in their lifetime. The birth of a child, the death of a love one, watching a person fall in love. Some moments should never be broken and this was one of them. So they let them go, this was their night.
