    What does Alice find out on the phone?

    PREVIOUSLY

    Alice was too jumpy to fall asleep, unlike Dana who passed out the second her head hit the pillow. Alices ears perked up when she head the door next to hers unlock. She had ears like a rabbit at times, and this was one of those times. She went over to the wall to try to listen to any conversation. She only heard silence. She thought to herself that it could mean two things: someone was there alone, or some serious love making was about to take place. She looked at her watch and saw it was close to 5 oclock. The girls would have to eat dinner soon, but she figured if Tina was the one in the room then it was the perfect time for Bette to strike.

    Alice went over to the phone and picked up the receiver.

    What do you think youre doing? asked Dana who had been watching Alice the entire time.

    Making a call.

    Dana sat up and raised her voice a little. Are you out of your mind?

    No. I know how to make prank calls; I did this all the time when I was younger. Have some faith in me ok?

    Alice dialed 5 and then Tinas room number. When she heard Helenas voice on the other end she panicked for a second.

    Hello? Is anyone there? asked Helena.

    Alice donned her best wanna-be-French accent to try to disguise her voice. Hello. Im calling from the restaurant downstairs. I was just wondering what nights you will be in the hotel and if youd be interested in eating our fine cuisine.

    You dont sound French, said Helena as she raised an eyebrow to this random call.

    Im not. Im an American. I moved here last year from Florida and still havent fully picked up the French language.

    Oh well that makes sense As for your question, I personally wont be here the next three nights. Business calls; you know how it is right?

    Of course I do, said Alice hoping she could get more out of Helena.

    My guest will be here though, but Im not sure what her plans are as of right now.

    7. he he he…i love amanda’s comment and i agree 100%….thank the lord that alice was able to put her sneaky skills to use for some common good….i hope bette is ready for a fight because i have a feeling that helena is gonna give her one HELL of a fight for tina….i’m so so so happy that tina hasn’t given up on bette, the fact that she actually wanted the person in the lobby to bette means so much….thanks for the chapter…can’t wait til you post again!
