“I don’t think so; before we began we had this no promises thing. Also, she is still dating the Brit.” Bette said. “Who next to her film studio, also has a place on the board of the CAC and, if she knows I slept with one of her girlfriends, will fire me.”
“Wait, one of her girlfriends?” Avila asked.
“Yeah, she is also dating Leigh something and I think two or three other chicks I don’t know the name of.” Bette said.
“She’s a slut.” Avila concluded dry. Bette couldn’t help but chuckle.
“I hope you are talking about Helena.” Bette said.
“Yeah, yeah.” Avila told her. “So, are you in love with Tina?”
“Yes.” Bette said. “I never loved anyone like I love her.”
“Sweet.” Avila said, folding her hands under her chin and acting like an angel. Bette rolled her eyes and Avila laughed. “Now, is she in love with you?”
Bette sighed. “I don’t know. She talked about another woman she wanted to ask out but she wanted to get closer to her first…”
Avila shook her head. “I don’t know what is up with you but have you ever thought that that may be you?”
Bette looked shocked. “What? Me?”
“Yeah, she definitely got closer to you…” Avila said. Bette chuckled.
“Yeah, yeah, but that doesn’t mean she is in love with me. I think we just got caught up in a moment.” Bette said.
“Maybe, buddy, maybe… I should meet her.” Avila told her. Bette smiled.
“You will ask her all kinds of questions that will embarrass her.”
“I promise I won’t. Please, I really want to see her.” Avila said.
“Why?”
“So I can picture the hot sex.” Avila told her.
“Avila, you are straight…” Bette said, rolling her eyes again.
“So? What’s your point?” Avila asked. Bette shook her head.
“I am going to tell Russell.” Bette said.
“Oh, then he’ll think I would like a threesome.” Avila told her; Bette did as if she was gaging. “Don’t act like that, B. I know you tried that once.”
“Hey, that wasn’t because it turned me on. That was to have a baby.”
“Still, you tried to do it.” Avila said. “Stealing the poor guy’s sperm.”
Bette laughed at the pitiful face of her friend.

Nice chapter. The carpenter reference was classic. I like that Bette has a friend outside of the gang that she can talk to about Tina so everyone isn’t interfering in their business. Nice progress in their relationship and how you are moving the story along. Thanks for posting often.
Nice post! Tina’s reaction was awesome…lol did she think Bette had another family? The green eyed monster strikes again. Can’t wait to see what’s next for our girls.
