Turn About Is Fair Play – CH62

Bette allowed her mind to go back to the night of Provocations where theyd made love so violently that it unknowingly fueled passion and it made her want to cry because thought it was the last time theyd ever be together. And then Bettes mind recalled the night when Tina showed up and they made love and Tina left without regard for Bettes feelings and it hurt beyond words. The culmination of Bettes thoughts at last made her realize exactly how emotionally disparaging that kind of pain could be. How the one you loved could bring you so close and then throw you aside as if what you shared meant nothing. But this time, their union was mutual. It was founded on a long-standing and deep-rooted love that in the midst of lifes interference got compromised, allowed to decay, and lose its integrity. However, now it seemed like there was hope, and the air pain that existed between them borne of lies, indifference, and lack of appreciation may be reborn into something even more beautiful than theyd shared before.

    Elsewhere in LANya
Nya leaned up against the wall to catch her breath after sprinting the last quarter mile of her five-mile run. The sight of a young blonde, who resembled Tina, made her race home to call her, once she arrived, realized that it was still early, so she settled for taking a shower and changing instead. After reviving herself, Nya made a light breakfast, ate it, and sat in her lounger playing with her cell phone wishing time to pass quickly. Nya, had purposely chosen not to call Tina for a couple days as not to seem desperate or inconsiderate of Tinas time, but she was looking forward to speaking with her soon.

Nya distracted herself by doing some housework and preparing her notes for a case she was working on. By day, Nya worked as a for hire Expert Forensics Examiner after quitting her job as a police officer in San Francisco three years before. Working in LA seemed more her speed. Life in San Francisco was quiet and low-key because she helped raise her younger sister after their mother passed. Being raised by a pretty liberal father allowed Nya to be open about her sexuality and he supported her interest in law enforcement although her mother might not have been so inclined to. Nya graduated a year and a half early from high school having gone to summer school and taking classes at the local community college. She forced her father to allow her that wish so she could be more hands on with her sister and take some of the pressure off of him. Nya stayed in San Francisco after her sister graduated from high school and moved out of California, while Nya remained at home with their ailing father. It was then that she accepted a position in the police department where she worked the streets before getting moved into the crime lab after successfully helping convict a rapist who might have gotten off on a technicality had Nya not suggested that a piece of evidence be tested for DNA. That is when Nya honed her skills and found her love for forensics. She worked hard, made a good name for herself, and moved up the ranks until her father died and she felt her life fall apart. With her sister at school in Colorado and no desire to head back to California once she graduated, Nya decided to leave San Francisco for LA; after getting an offer she couldnt refuse from a Private Investigator whose wife had her own law practice that read about her work in San Francisco.

    1. Seems you’ve dedicated a lengthy background on Nya personally I think this character is a good distraction from the main plot if anything it give the story more twist. Sure things appear to be on the road to recovery for B&T but I like this air of ambiguity you have left on purpose surrounding them LOL. I still have no inkling what will happen next and the unpredictability of it all just reel me in more into this story. Thank you for this up-date BluJewel I really enjoyed reading it.

    2. Blu I just love these loving, tender and playful moments with Tina and Bette…but based on the long back story you gave us about Nya…it seems my happiness won’t last long. Please keep writing and I will keep reading.
