Nya moved to LA knowing no one and led a pretty sheltered existence, working on cases and doing research. Nya had only had two previous girlfriends growing up because her life was always consumed with other things or other people, which over time took its toll on the relationship. While she did get lonely at times, Nya still enjoyed being single because it allowed her the freedom she didnt have growing up. Nya made friends by forcing herself to go to clubs and through the 26-Milers Club she joined. Nya maintained an on again off again relationship with the sister of a one of the men she worked with, but it ended when the woman wanted more of a commitment. Something Nya wasnt able to give. It wasnt until Nya met Rebecca that she ever wanted something more emotionally, but after that ended so badly due to Rebeccas lies and other life, Nya swore off relationships and intimate friendships. And then she met Tina who struck a nerve. Tina partially reminded her of her first love, with her gentle ways, innocent face, and cornflower blonde hair. But it was Tinas presence of being that really attracted her. And it was that presence that left Nya longing to hear Tinas voice even if it was just for a minute.

Nya knew it was entirely too soon for her to even think of Tina as anything but a friend and she knew that neither of them was in a position to be anything more than that, but Tina did something to her. Something so far out of her scope of reason that she couldnt help wonder if Tina was what she missing in her life.

The next morningBette & Tina
Tina woke up to Bettes smiling face and blushed knowing Bette had been watching her sleep.

Been up long? Tina asked between a yawn.

Yeah, a couple of hours I suppose, Bette was still staring.

Was I snoring or something? Tina asked.

No. Not at all. You were sleeping like a baby, Bette was completely enamored. You looked so beautiful.

Tina hid her face under the sheet. She couldnt believe Bette was talking to her like that. Tina expected there to be some tension and apprehension the morning after, but there wasnt any. Bette appeared to be extremely happy and although Tina hadnt had much time to think of her circumstance, she too appeared happy.

Will you be able to stay for a little while? Bette asked, as she looked at the time.

Im not sure, Tina thought, what time is it?

Its 8:40, Bette stated and looked at Tinas face, trying to read her mind. You look like youre thinking about something, Bette inquired.

Well, Im supposed to get Alice somewhere this afternoon and shes not aware of the plan, plus its the day before my big day and I need to sort my clothes out and all that, Tina explained, as she sat up in the bed facing Bette. Maybe we could have breakfast though, Tina comforted, noticing a saddened look on Bettes face.

Sure, breakfast will be fine, Bette jumped at the opportunity. Some time is better than no time right, Bette joyously jumped from the bed and ran to the bathroom. Care to join me? Bette yelled.

Uh, no, go ahead. Dont want to start anything we cant finish, Tina yelled back teasingly.

Okay, but if you change your mind, you know where to find me, Bette giggled.

Tina lay back down for a few minutes to gather her thoughts and recall the nights activity. She smiled as she felt the soreness of her body and the dull aching in her loins.

Damn, Tina smiled, I forgot what this felt like, she continued. I wonder if Bettes body feels like mine does? She questioned herself.

Tiiinaaa! Bette called out as if she was singing. Are you sure you dont want to join me? Bettes melodic tone rang out.

Tina laughed at Bettes playfulness and enjoyed the way she sounded.

Ah, what the *****, Tina said to herself and jumped out of the bed. On my way, Tina yelled. Sounds like an offer I shouldnt refuse, Tina strolled into the bathroom to find Bette covered head to toe in bubbles and wearing a hug devious grin.
