Chapter 26

“So, how are we going to do this?” Alice cheerfully said once they were all outside, by the side of the big house, where a large field that was peculiarly even was located.

“Well we set a perimeter…” Dana started speaking but was quickly interrupted by the blonde.

“Set a perimeter, really?” The lawyer asked incredulous and smiling warmly at the agent.

“Sorry, you’re right… we establish the boundaries of our playfield and we decide who’s going to be in which team” Dana corrected herself smiling.

“Alright, so should we do something like… DAs versus FBI?” Helena asked next.

“Do you actually think that we stand a chance against them?” Tina asked surprised at her friend’s suggestion.

“Why wouldn’t we?” Alice asked also surprised at her friend’s little faith in them.

“I haven’t run in months, and by the way neither have you Hel… and Al, you just… well have you ever held a ball before?”

“Is that a rhetorical question?” Alice quickly replied and both Dana and Shane released a small giggle, while Bette had to really fight to restrain hers. “Cause I’ve held plenty of balls” The blonde added and the level of amusement in the agents’ giggles just increased.

“Yeah I remember those times, but what I think Tina is trying to say here is that we would not only be outnumbered but we should also divide the talent a little bit more evenly, right TK?” Helena interfered and Tina just nodded.

“I think that Bette and John should be each in one of the teams and then we add one DA and one FBI agent at the time to each team, how’s that?” Dana proposed and everyone seemed to agree.

So they went ahead and divided the teams: on Bette’s side were Shane, Derek, Alice and Helena and on John’s team he had Dana, Molly, Tina and Jen. Each of the teams went on their respective side of the field in order to decide their tactics. After more than a few minutes of deliberation they were ready to start the game.
