“And my brother Rico, is such a pain in the *****. I swear to God if we weren’t family I’d kick his *****.”
“You think you could take him?” Shane asked smiling.
“I know I can take him he’s gayer than I am.” Carmen replied making Shane laugh.
“Alright.”
“So what about you?”
“I don’t know your brother personally so I have no reason to kick his *****.”
“That’s not what I mean. Do you have a brother?” Carmen timidly asked.
Shane noticeably stiffens as she takes a sip of her wine.
“I mean you don’t have to answer. I just want to know….It’s not…I’m sorry…” Carmen trails off.
Shane stares quietly at Carmens bent head for a moment. Taking a breath she proceeds to talk.
“I have a brother. I don’t know him that well, because we didn’t grow up together.”
Carmen lifts her head and smiles at Shane all of the discomfort now a faint memory.
“You want to get out of here?” she asked.
“Yeah.”

Shane and Carmen pull up to Shanes house. Carmen takes note of the darkened windows.
“Where’s Jenny?”
“No idea. She said she’d make herself ‘scarce’ tonight so I’m pretty sure she’s at Moira’s.”
“Who’s Moira.” Carmen asked.
“Her girlfriend.” Shane replies as she opens the front door and flips on the light.
“Are you thirsty?” Shane asked. Carmen shook her head ‘no’ as she sat her purse down on the counter.
The two women stand there for a moment in silence.
“So what do you want to do?” Carmen asked
Shane is quiet for a moment, she then smiles devilishly at Carmen.
“What?” Carmen asked smiling.
Shane grabs Carmens hand and leads her out of the kitchen, out of the house, and into Bette and Tina’s backyard.
“Shane what are we doing?” Carmen asked in a hushed whisper.
Shane doesn’t reply as she goes over to the Jacuzzi.
“Shane we’re going to wake Bette and Tina up.”
“They’re not here. You can stop whispering.”
“Oh. Where are they?” Carmen asked in her normal voice.
Shane turns the Jacuzzi on.
“New York.”
“Shane I don’t have my bathing suit.”
“So?” Shane asked as she begins to unbutton her shirt.
