Unusual Love Ch. 3
Bette traced the outer rim of her glass as she looked out the bay window. Helena took a bite out of her food and looked over at Bette. She wiped her mouth and licked her lips.
“What are you thinking about?” Bette looked at Helena.
“A lot of things. So much is running throughout my mind right now, I don’t know where to start.” She laughed uneasily.
Helena pushed her plate forward and positioned her arms on the table. She interlaced her fingers and looked into Bette’s mysterious eyes. “Well where do you want to begin?”
Bette dropped her head and swallowed. “…I’m going through so much with Tina. She’s killing me. I can’t bear to look at her. I keep remembering all the good times, but they’re being washed away by the bad. I knew that we were falling apart, but I thought I could fix it.” Bette closed her eyes and opened them. Her eyes became teary, and she sniffed. “I loved her, and I wanted everything to work out for us and Angelica. I wanted to have a loving home and family. She wanted to venture off back to men because she began to have feelings. I let her, and now I feel atrocious for not fighting for her.” Helena felt sorry for Bette and reached over to grab her hand.
“…You can’t hate yourself for what Tina has done. You must forget and try to move on.”
Bette took a deep breath. “Have you forgotten? Have you forgotten Dylan?” Helena pulled her hand away from Bette and sighed.
“No, I haven’t.”
“Then why should I forget about Tina, and what kind of life we had and could have had?”
“Because it’s over Bette, it’s been six months. You’ll never find love again if you stay in this state.”
Bette shook her head. “I was with Tina for eight fucking years, and you want to get over it because you had a fucking fling that lasted a week. I’m sorry, but it’s not going to happen that way.” She took a deep breath. “I think it was wrong of me to come here. I just feel like we’re not getting anywhere.” She began to get up, but Helena grabbed her hand.

I’m glad Shane spoke up to Tina. No one disserves to B treated this cruelly. B may no longer want to fight for Tina, and I hope she never gives up the fight for her daughter, Post again sQQn!
so once again tina has to go and ruin the whole day.
Henry’s a father figure. Thank God I already ate cos I would have lost it. Love that Shane stepped up and gave Tina a piece. What a bitch. You know Tina thinks she has it over Bette, well just wait.
Goddammit tina!! How much crueller can she get!! ugh she gets on my last nerve! Love the relationship building between Bette and Helena. Great chapter!
So.. Tina’s a bitch. But awww cuteness with Helena and Bette at the end
Just more Tina being Tina….ugh! At least some of Bette’s friends are finally calling Tina on her shady behavior-thank GOD for Shane. And Helena is doing some serious flirting w/ one Ms. Porter–I like, I like. Hey Akira-I hope you do something fun while your away and I’ll be here anxiously awaiting your next post.
I hate Tina I mean really really hate her. If someone would treat me like this I would crush her face. (sorry about that but I get really pissed about it)Nice chapter though and thx for letting Shane take Bette’s side
Tina enjoys making Bettes life misable. she is so damn good at it also. My boy toy is a go father figure to MY daughter. Boy someday she will be in for a big fall.and no Bette to put her back together again thanks
Hey ACB, Great to have you creating another wonderful tale. I love the way you have balanced the Bette and Tina awkwardness with the openness between Bette and Helena. The way that they are slowly falling one another is a joy. Happy to see that Bette was there for Shane. Now, how will the dinner go??? Can;t wait. Your Loyal Fan.
