    Unusual Love Ch. 4

Bette went through the gate and pulled up to Helena’s door. She looked at the front door and took a deep breath. She grabbed the bottle of wine in the passenger seat and got out. She smoothed out her cotton button up shirt and walked towards the door. She ran her hand down her jean pant leg, and the sound of her heels followed behind her. She rang the doorbell and waited. The door opened, and Helena smiled. Bette smiled warmly and gripped the bottle.

    “Hello, you’re right on time.”

“I like to be on time.” Helena smiled.

“Come in,” she moved out of the doorway and let Bette in. She closed the door, and Bette took a look around.

“This is beautiful, how can you still afford this place.”

Helena laughed softly. “Mummy doesn’t know that I have a secret account. I’m not dumb.” Bette laughed. “Well follow me to the kitchen.” Bette sat the bottle down on the counter and moaned.

    “Mmm, what smells good?”

Helena smiled and walked over to the stove. “It’s my favorite, roasted garlic tortelloni with shrimp.” Bette nodded. “So what is our beverage for tonight?”

Bette smiled and looked at the bottle. “Turning Leaf Merlot.”

“Sounds delicious,” Helena went in the cupboard and grabbed plates. “If you like, just open the bottle and pour us a drink. I’ll meet you in the dining room.” She sat two glasses in front of Bette. Bette popped the bottle open and poured them a glass. She picked up the two glasses and looked around.

“Uh Helena,” she looked at her and laughed softly.

“Oh, it’s to your right.” Bette walked out of the kitchen and walked to her right. She walked into the exuberant dining room and sat the glasses down on the table. She took a look around and stood in front of a large painting of Helena and her mother. She crossed her arms and laughed softly. Helena came around the corner with the plates in her hands. She saw what Bette was staring at and sat the plates down on the table.

“Enjoying the family portrait?” Bette turned and smiled.

    1. ACB,, Brilliant to have you back and blushing at your kind words. I really am getting my teeth into this story and love the wya that you are crafting these characters into believeable people who hurt, laugh and love. Tina needs to sort herself out and let Bette and Helena follow their hearts. Hopefuly to each other. Loved Alice’s perfect timing and comment at the end. Had me laughing and crying with joy. Thank you so much. Your Loyal Fan.

    2. Hey Akira I love the way your story is going. Don’t let Tina mess it up too much though. Our girls need to explore their feelings in peace. Keep up the good work girl.Oh and by the way did you already have a look at my story (lol)?

    3. You know Alice is going to be quick to figure this out. I know Bette’s not happy with Tina, but she didn’t even let her mention why she stopped by. Be cautious Bette, but don’t be as big an ASS as Tina. So can’t wait for B&H to move a bit further along.

    4. I also didn’t expect Bette to go back to Helena’s after Tina left; but I’m glad that she did. What did Tina want anyway? No, really…what did she want? Seriously, I really don’t give a damn what she wanted. She does appear to B stalking Bette now. Alice’s’ timing is nothing but ALICE!! Cant wait til the next chapter.

    5. Thanks for another great chapter Akira. All of Tina’s meddling may just push Bette and Helena closer and closer to one another. In your next chapter if you want to have Tina beamed away by a passing UFO i would object….LOL. So Alice is atbthe door and she is about to know Bette is inside. Can anyone say start the presses b/c Alice will blab this little detail all around town. post soon, please!

    6. Yes, it is Bette’s car and we’re almost makinglove now please go Alice! hahaha I finally got caught up! Great chapters. Can someone hit Tina upside the head?

    7. Alices timing is so great. Why did Tina ask Bette where she had been. Poor both of them Bette is trying to go on and tina is trying to stop her Thanks
