    Summary:
    Bette pays a visit to an old friend.

    One week later, Bette is sitting among a few other parents at the park with her phone to her ear, watching her daughter happily run around the playground with other kids while Mickey sits nearby in the sandbox, playing with his own friends.

    “Yeah…. well, that’s bullshit. I’m not paying for that, Joyce….” Bette rolls her eyes and shakes her head. “I don’t really give a shit……good, make sure you drive that point home…. thank you…. yep, see you then ….” Bette ends the call and takes a deep breath.

    “Divorce negotiations, huh?” The woman sitting next to Bette inquires.

    Bette turns and looks at the woman skeptically.

    The woman smiles sheepishly. “Sorry, didn’t mean to pry, I just remember that tone of pure annoyance….” She says, motioning toward her empty ring finger. “Been a year for me….”

    “Ah…well, I’m just at the beginning, and it’s frustrating as hell already…”

    The woman smiles and nods. “Yeah…. hang in there…”

    “Thank you…” Bette says with an appreciative smile.

    The woman then stands up and pulls a business card from her pocket. “Um, whenever you find your way out of the weeds, call me…. Or even before if you just need to let off some steam….” She says suggestively.

    Bette reluctantly takes the card. “Um….”

    “See ya…” The woman says as she backs away, eyeing Bette from head to toe before she turns and walks to the playground.

    Bette looks down at the card. “What the hell?” She mumbles, then jumps when she hears someone clear their throat behind her. She turns around and sees Tina standing there with a smirk.

    “I see you’re multitasking this evening?” Tina says playfully as she walks over and sits down next to Bette.

    Bette rolls her eyes. “I am not….”

    “Coulda fooled me….” Tina says with a laugh.

    Bette holds up the business card. “She has like every social media page known listed on this thing….”

    Tina leans over and smiles. “Holistic healer/lawyer,” Tina giggles and shakes her head. “Did Alice send her?”

    Bette laughs. “I actually wouldn’t put it past her….”

    Tina looks on as Angelica seemingly takes charge of other kids going down the slide. “Has your daughter taken it upon herself to organize the line to the slide?”

    2. Well, Michelle has had a dump truck of manure land on her today. No alimony and no vehicle. Hope the child support is adequate. Of course if they share custody equally, there will be none of that. A three and one half year marriage is now no more.

      Bette rewards herself with a new wardrobe… Nothing lifts the spirits like new clothes.

      I wonder why Bette hung on to their old house… hope we find out in the next chapter..

      Zanny Alice 4ever deflecting Bette’s sarcasm and going her merry way, never missing a beat!!!!

      I like that Tina keeps teasing the “clueless Porter” whenever some woman is salivating for Bette-chops!!! And I like even more that Bette doesn’t get in a huff when Tina playfully accuses her of “multi-tasking”. HeHeHe!!!

      Of course its refreshing when Bette is introspective. She’s realizing that yes, she IS the common denom in two failed marriages tho she by no means is the sole culprit.

      I noticed Bette didn’t hesitate to share this revelation w/Tee . . . her trusted friend.

      And Michelle . . . what will become of her??? I see her anger 2ward Bette growing into resentment and perhaps Chelly eventually trying to humiliate Bette.

      Hmmmmm . . . maybe Tina has a movie up for an Oscar and Bette is Tina’s PlusOne for the event . . . And Michelle happens to attend with “what’s-her-face”???

    5. Damn Michelle surely pooped and stepped in it. She let her insecurities ruin her commonsense and now she’s sitting in the outhouse. Damn $80,000 car can be traded it for something more reasonable and have money left over for living. Bette is give her chid support for Mickey. She better spend it wisely. As Patti LaBelle says Bette has new clothes, new shoes and a new attitude. It appears that Tina Kennard will get the benefits of Michelles stupidity. Keep it coming! PPS

    6. Michelle, do you really hold on to having a fancy car that much? That car also requires expensive maintenance. It’s not just the monthly fees (even if Bette decides to keep paying it) the car uses a lot of fuel, uses expensive service, etc. It would also be a change of ownership in your name, you would also pay the annual taxes to the Treasury… After the car, what else will you want pretending to be in the name of your child, the house?

    9. Damn Michelle you really thought Bette was gonna foot the bill on a 80K Mercedes SUV for you and your lil girlfriend to be riding around in…NOT!!! Bette let Joyce unleash the Cracken on her cheating azz!!!! Bette told her to get something she can afford on her teacher salary!!! Bette will take care of Mickey but Michelle still trying the LIVE THE HIGH LIFE…GURL PLEASE!!!!

      Alice and her juju…omg!!!

      Bette’s got a NEW ATTITUDE like somebody mentioned in the comments!!! Looking Good attracting more women to her than usual and causing Tina to lose her train of thought for a minute!!! (hahaha)

      Love the teasing (multi-tasking) and banter between Tina and Bette, hope they continue to get closer and rebuild their friendship and MUCH MORE!!! I want OUR fav TV Couple together so bad, I really miss your stories!!!

      Bette kept the OLD HOUSE….awwww!!! MEMEORIES!!!!!
