Chapter 25.

Both Bette and Tina were exhausted and they knew they had to get up at 2 AM and again at 6 AM to feed the babies.  They had decided it did not matter who fed which baby as they both could and the children were theirs.  They wanted them to bond with both mothers.

The 2 AM feeding went well, feed, change diaper burp back to sleep.  At the 6 AM feeding.  Bette was feeling a lot better and decided it was time to begin to get her body back.  She stretched, did her yoga, put on a pair of sweats and a longsleeved T-shirt and her running shoes.  After she was warmed up, she went for a run, Tasha insisted on going with her for protection.  The area was becoming less and less populated as people left trying to get home.  They had decided that she and Tina would stay for a while until the babies were strong enough to travel.  Dr. Wilson had decided to stay with them.  Shane, Carmen, Dana, and Lara and Helena and Peggy had decided to to head home.  They promised to call Bette once they knew the status of WEHO .  And whether it was safe for them to come home.  None of them knew if the cell phone system was up and running.  The only good thing about it being an asteroid hit was that there was no EMP so most systems that did not require constant human intervention were up and cars started.  Bette said " I will charge my phone so that I can get your call or message."  Kit had told her she knew the Planet was still standing but did not know how much, if any, damage there was she wanted to get home and see what she needed to do to open again.  They all felt as though returning to their normal activities such as meeting at the planet, should be resumed.  Opening the Planet sent a message that things were returning to normal.  Peggy Peabody said she needed to see if there was anything left of the Peabody industries.  Shane said she would go to Bette and Tina’s and see what the status is.  She knows the pool will have to be drained and cleaned and refilled at a minimum.  They knew there had been fires nearby so they did not know if their homes were damaged.  Helen had asked Tina and Bette if Jessica could go home with them as she is very attached to Angelica and Bailey.  She said she would sign whatever is necessary for them to have guardianship.  Bette and Tina decided one more wasn’t going to hurt and so Jessica will go home with them.  She can share Angelica’s room.  When Jessica was told she squealed with delight and said" Angelica we are going to be sisters and I can help you with Bailey and your brothers and sister.
