    What Time Reveals Part 6

    Then…

Tina’s parents had always had different opinions when it came to Tina’s relationship with Bette. While Bill had supported them, his only concern was that who ever Tina was with would treat her well along with respect and dignity. Her mother was a different story. Sarah Kennard didn’t outright ignore it like Melvin, but definitely didn’t approve of it. Bette was never sure what was behind Sarah’s thoughts, but Bette always got the feeling it wasn’t quite the lesbian thing. Bette felt there was something more, but could never figure it out and never really took the time to figure it out, because the Kennards rarely had time to visit. And Bette and Tina only took holiday time to visit them. Even after the affair Bette had kept in touch with Bill. It was she who called him, apologizing to him for breaking his little girl’s heart and letting him down. He actually listen to Bette and talked to her like her own father neglected to do.

     Now…

Meanwhile over at Tina and Henry’s place, Tina sat on the couch staring at both her mother and father in disbelief. Her mother was holding Angelica, who had been fussy and restless for the past two weeks. ‘Why are they choosing Bette’s side? I’m their daughter, they should be supporting me’ Tina fumed inside her head.

Bill was watching his daughter and the way she was staring at him and his wife.

“What? Why are you looking at us that way?” Sarah Kennard questioned.

“You’re going to meet my EX-girlfriend, the woman who cheated on me and tried to kidnap my child. How am I supposed to look at you? With admiration?” Tina gushed out.

“Tina, for the past 8 ½ years you’ve done nothing but refer to Bette as your wife, your life partner. Now suddenly, you’ve decided to date men again and she’s been reduced to girlfriend? A girlfriend you “played” house with right?” Sarah pointedly asked. “You know I had my reasons for concern when you told us about your relationship with Bette. And despite popular belief it was not because she was a woman. But there was a positive change in you once you started dating Bette, at least once you came out to your father and I. I saw you with a passion to protect her and stick up for yourself for once. You didn’t take crap from anyone, not your father, not strangers, and especially not me. I finally saw a strong independent woman I always knew you were capable of becoming. All of the sudden you’re meek and straight and frankly it irks me. I was proud of how you stood your ground and began fighting in something you believed in. Don’t you remember how you stood up to me and when I told you that I didn’t think you and Bette should be in a relationship? You told me that you love me and valued my opinion, but if I didn’t approve of your relationship the least I could do was respect that it was your decision and your life and that I should respect both you and Bette. Where is that woman? All I have heard so far since we got here was how you and Henry have decided and how you and Henry will raise Angelica. Well dear I hate to point out to you but you have already given the other parent role to someone else and you can’t just take it away just because you want to date men again.”

    1. Great chapter. Love Tina’s parents. Hope they can knock some sense into her. Since she seems to be being led around by Henry and his dick. (sorry) Can’t wait for the next chapter.

    2. Great stuff P. I knew you had it in you[Remember those teasing theories you used to post downtown The Dish?]. Your story is very well written and your voice for the characters is just perfect, right on.I am loving the flitition btn Bette and Puff[whatta great nickname for her] And Alice? She cracks me up big time.Way to go P. Please do post soon and Continue ton excellent travail.

    3. Good chapter but too short. Tina’s ‘rents are very reasonable and sane unlike their daughter. Tina is almost laughable, certainly immature.

    4. How much do I LOVE Tina’s parents right now?! Especially her mom: “All of the sudden you’re meek and straight and frankly it irks me.” LOL Also seems to me that Tina is still mighty attracted to Bette if she’s concerned about seeing “an educational Bette. A sexy, showing her passion through lecture Bette.” Love it!

    5. I think that Henry is jealous and posessive and you wrote him pretty well. It’s reasonable, given that Tibette had been together for so long, that T’s father would support Bette… I think the lawsuit is still necessary though, becasue any out-of-court arrangement can leave Bette out at any whim. More Belena!!!! I want to read about them making lurrrvvee!!!1 Wonderful writing Pands! You’re great!

    6. please post again soon.. in all honesty i hope the fourth season would not show this in detail.. i really don’t want to see a spiteful tina nor a pitiful bette..

    7. Don’t you just love the Kennards. Well, not so much of the Kennard jr right now. lol… Love it, can’t wait to see what happen next. Please post soon

    8. Henry knows the power Bette still has over Tina. That’s why he’s doing all he can to show Bette in a negative light. I just loved the last line of this chapter. Please post soon!!!

    9. Oh boy, Henry is toast now that Tina has started to let her common sense prevail. Bill and Sarah, of all people, are going to get those two back together, I just know it. And they should be together. Thank you for this story.

    10. 6 stars pands!!! I like the build up! Can’t wait to see where you go with this! Also I just cracked up after I read the final sentence!!! Loving it…
