“I had a car accident, Bette, I don’t even know how that happened. Please come and get me. The ambulance will be here soon, but babe I need you. I’m so very, very, sorry………,” Tina cried.

“Sorry what for, honey? Babe where are you, where do you want me to pick you up?”

Tina told Bette where she was and Bette rushed out of her office to go to her sweetheart.

“James, I’m gone. Tina was involved in a car accident. I don’t know how serious it is but I’ll let you know. Please call my sister. I’ll let you know what hospital we’re going to”.

With that being said, Bette rushed to her car.
Within half an hour she was at the location Tina told her to come to. The ambulance was already there and the ambulance staff was already taking care off business. Tina was in the ambulance and she was crying. When she saw Bette, she even cried harder.

Bette told the staff member who she was and she could step into the ambulance. Before she stepped into the ambulance, she got a call from Kit.

“Baby sis, what’s going on, what happened to my baby girl?”

“I don’t know Kit, I just got here. We’re heading to the hospital and we’ll find out what’s wrong. Could you take care of my car? Call Shane, drive with her and then drive my car to the hospital. Will you do that for me Kit, please?”

“Baby, don’t worry about your car. And don’t ever beg me to do something for you Bette. Your family! Now you go to your woman, she’s the most important thing now. I’ll call Shane and the rest of the bunch.”

Bette knew she could count on Kit so she stepped in the ambulance to console Tina.

“Hey babe, hush, I’m here, I’m here babe. Everything will be alright”.

“Ohh Bette, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry. I don’t know what happened but all of a sudden I felt my car slip away and I bumped into the centre strip”.

“Hush, babe. By the way, what are you sorry for? For the car, that’s okay. I’d rather have the car wrecked than you, so please don’t be sorry.” Bette held Tina close and kissed her head.
She felt that Tina relaxed and her breathing became calm.
