They went to lunch and then decided to meet for drinks at 4:00 after work and then go to the screening.  They went to a bar close by and each had two drinks, just enough to loosen them up a bit so they weren’t thinking so hard.  Allowing their bodies to lean close to each other, letting small touches happen and not over think them but enjoy them. As they left Bette led Tina by the small of her back and nothing had ever felt so natural.  After the screening they went to Bette’s and ordered some food while they continued to talk. The food arrived at 6:45 so they begin to dig in. at 7:00 sharp the kids came through the door.  The women heard them, Tina looked up at Bette with raised eye brows, she was nervous about meeting them, she really wanted them to like her being that they were such a huge part of Bette’s life.

Lauren: yelling “Aunt Bette! Where are you?”
Bette: coming in the room “I’m right here munchkin. How was your day?”
Lauren: running into Bette’s arms and hugging her “Good, I missed you.”
Bette: “I missed you too. I want you to meet a friend of mine.” And she put Lauren down. Giving Zach a kiss on the top of his head “hey buddy”
Zach: “hey”
Bette: looking to see Tina standing in the door way watching the scene  “Guy’s this is my friend Tina, Tina this is Lauren and Zach, and you met Emily earlier.”
Tina: waving “Hi, it’s so nice to meet you guys. I’ve heard a lot about you.”
Zach: “Hi.  Aunt Bette I’m going to go finish my homework in my room.”
Bette: “Ok, bring it down when you are done so I can check it”
Zach: “ I will” running off to his room.
Emily: “I have to go call Kaci”
Bette: “kay” looking down at Lauren who was hiding from Tina behind Bette.  “hey are you going to say hi to Tina?”
Lauren: “Hi. Did she have dinner with you?”
Bette: “well we are just sitting down to have some dinner, you want to come sit with us?”
Lauren: “yea can I have some?”
Bette: “didn’t just eat at Aunt Mel’s?”
Lauren: “Yea but I’m hungry again”
Bette: looking at Tina “this one is a bottomless pit”
