When New and Old Collide: Chapter 16
Previously:
Jaime was getting out of her car at The Planet as Bette was walking out.
Jaime: “Hello Bette how are you?”
Bette: “I am doing fine and you?”
Jaime: “Not so good. What are you doing here Bette? Are you trying to get Tina back?”
Bette: “I am not trying to get between you and Tina. I do love her and miss her very much but I know that you two are dating and I am not going to try and come between you two. I just want to get to know Beth; she is ‘my’ daughter after all.”
Jaime: “That is a joke.”
Bette: “Excuse me! What the ***** did you just say?”
Jaime: “I said that Beth being your daughter is a joke. Where were you for her first step, her first word, her first tooth? What is her favorite toy what do you have to do if she can’t get to sleep? What’s her favorite color? I know everything about this little girl and you know nothing, how fair is it that you get to call her ‘your’ daughter?”
Bette just let a single tear fall from her eye and walked to her car. Was it really fair for her to disrupt Beth‘s life for her own personal gain?
************************************************************************ In Bette’s rental car on the way to Tina’s all she can keep thinking about is all of the time that she has missed out on Beth’s life. What did she really know about Beth? She knew that Beth was the most beautiful little girl she had ever had the privilege to lay eyes on. Was that really enough? Was she going to rush into this little girl’s life and disrupt it? Bette needed time to think about things so she drove out to the beach. When she finally got there she realized she needed to call Tina and let her know that something had come up.
Bette: “Hi, Tina I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be able to make it there tonight. II am really sorry Tina.” She says with a hint of sadness in her voice.

In a way Jamie is right, But that is up to Tina to do all the talking. Jamie is digging a deep for herself with her mouth. Maybe jamie thinks if she keep hurting Bette that Bette will leave, Don;t think so. Bette wants to be in Beths life and that is where she will be. With or without Tina. Tina did her an injustive by not telling her about Beth..
If cruelty runs in your family, you must have gotten the lions share of it! (Just kidding) How can you leave us hanging like that? Please post again soon…..somehow, I know that your thought did not just end there. Somehow I also know that you are going to find away for B&T to get back together. Tunnel visioned as I am, I don’t feel the warm and fuzzy for Jaime like I do for Bette.
Just did a quick catch up on this story. Cannot believe we were left hanging. Hopefully Tina and Bette can keep it civil till they figure out they can’t live without each other. I feel bad for Jamie, but love like Tina’s and Bette theirs no way your ever getting a part of it. I know she’s scared and hurting right now, but I wouldn’t go mouthing off to Bette it will only make Tina protect her even more. Can’t wait for next update.
Thanks for taking time from your duties to bring us another chapter. I know it may be hard, but that kid will thank you some day for being there for him. It’s admirable!
Okay…let’s roast Jaime on a skewer over an open fire. She should have laid a big ‘ol kiss on Tina when she had the chance – a ‘lil somthin’ somthin to remember her by, but nooooooooooooooooo, she wimps out. Bette is gonna get her girl. Serves her right for being such a pansy.

What will come out of Bette’s mouth Tina I don’t think I can do this or Tina I am so sorry for F***ing up our lives so much that I don’t even know my own daughter. Bette should tell Tina she never stoped loving her and she would move haven and earth to have a nother chance withe her. Jamie seems nice but Bette and Tina where made for each other. Post real soon
