    Who’s Pointing Fingers Chapter 12

    Chapter 12

“Come home, we will work on all the old nagging shit that has kept us apart and then we will have a baby. You want to carry this burden, then, you are the only one who can rid yourself of it. If you think that the only way for me to be happy with you is for you to have our child, then, move home and have our child.” Nothing else was working so Bette decided to change her tack.

“Bette, I …..” Tina looks away from Bette’s gaze.

“Tina, we have got to do something. This is making both of us crazy. I love you. You love me. We share a huge loss and if we don’t get this worked out we are going to lose each other. I am not willing to chance that anymore. Not pushing hasn’t worked so, now I am going to pull. I am going to pull you home. Kicking and screaming if I have to.”

Bette’s resolve withered at the sight of Tina breaking down. “Cry T, cry all you need to. Maybe we both need to cry it all out so that we can move on with our life together. It breaks my heart to see you like this.” Bette wraps her arm around the rounded shoulder of the woman she loves more than life itself. Tina buries her head in Bette’s chest. And Bette holds Tina in a tight embrace. Never wanting to let her go again. Bette feels the deep breathes Tina takes as she sobs. The cry that makes it hard to breath but it cleanses you to the core. Bette’s tears rolls down her cheeks as she begins to sob with Tina. They have not really shared their pain this way, since the miscarriage. They stood in that embrace, crying, until there were no tears left. Bette took a small step back and gently raised Tina’s chin until their eyes met. “It’s time for you to come home.”

Tina didn’t respond but the look in her eyes gave Bette hope. Tina had finally broken and it was up to Bette to help her mend.

“I have got to get a shower and get ready.”

    2. Oh my God, long time companion, are we talking lover, partner and love of her life? So Aunt Agnes was lesbian and her marriage was a marriage of convenience to fool the public. I nearly fell off the bed when I read that. Oh my, please post very, very soon. My word, what a freaking surprise.
