“What? It can get cold in here” She brushes Tina’s bangs back and wipes her forehead.
“Don’t think I didn’t notice how she tried to help you with your hospital gown. It was good thing I got back in time”
“Hoo-hoo-hoo, more ice babe” Bette turns to grabs the cup behind her and refills it with more ice
“Well, I think she’s hot” Alice says as Bette glares at the camera
“No one asked you”
“Sorry”

“Alrighty then, Kit say something to your niece” Kit is standing in a corner of a room
“Hey baby girl, come on out already so I can spoil you. It has been one incredible year for everyone, but with your mommies in love and you on the way, things are only going to get better”
<End taping>
“Okay go” Shane standing in the same spot Kit was in
“Um, welcome to world. You are going to have one crazy life, but you’ll never go without love. Always remember that” Shane looks away from the camera
<End taping>
“Okay” Dana is now in view
“I’m sorry but looking at that obnoxious camera. I feel like I should be saying ‘This is Dana Fairbanks reporting for Channel 13 news’” She pretends to hold a microphone
“Focus, message for the baby”
“Sorry um, I’ve got an extra racket for you in case you become interested in becoming a pro tennis player. But you don’t have to play tennis there are other sports we can get into” She starts a little jog in place
“What are you doing?”
“I’m nervous”
“A baby who hasn’t been born yet is making you nervous?”
“It’s not the baby making me nervous”
“Then what’s the problem?” Dana ceases her jog and looks at the camera
“Turn the camera off”

Helena now in view
“Bet you never thought you’d see one of these again” Shane says from behind the camera
“Actually I still own a VHS player”
“Get the fuck out”
“Shane!”
“Sorry, um, cursing is a no-no”
“Hello baby Kennard-Porter. You have two wonderful mummies and a family that is at your beckon call. I’m so happy I’ve met these amazing people and to be a part of their lives”

LOL. Yes, we DO read the author’s notes – every one of them! And Scrooge (my fave Dickins novel, by the way), you are forgiven for not posting… there is nothing quite as delicious as enjoying a story and knowing there are other chappys just waiting….. :-) Thank you!
