“Babe have you seen this?” Carmen asked showing Jess the newspaper
“So it’s not out we’ve left the label brilliant” Jess sighed
“Read the full thing babe” Carmen stated
Jess continued reading.
“No way!” Jess said shocked
“Jess have you heard the news?” Jace asked
“I’m hearing it now…I can’t believe Kelly walked from them”
“Proves she’s loyal to us” Jace smiled “Think you can forgive her now?”
“I’ll speak to her” Jess said “But for now I have other things to worry about”
“And whilst I’m here…Do you have any thoughts about visiting your brother, he think’s your pissed at him!” Jace stated
“Don’t want to talk about it” Jess got up
Carmen shook her head no to Jace indicating for him to drop it.
Jess went into her studio and closed the door picking up her phone and calling Kelly.
“What’s all this?” Jess asked
“I don’t like the new management” Kelly explained “Without you and the summer set I’m not interested”
“You still had the summer set.”
“Jess they walked the minute you did” Kelly explained
Jess smiled
“Aren’t you a partner in the agency?”
“They bought me out for what I paid in” Kelly smiled “So now can we talk about your new label?”
“Sorry?”
“Well Hopeless Records would like to sign you and as one of the CEO’s and top manager I would love for you to sign with us” Kelly said “but I understand if you need time to think about it”
“What’s the catch?”
“The summer set won’t sign till you do” Kelly sighed
“So in other words you need me” Jess smirked “I have conditions”
“Oh I bet you do” Kelly smiled “Come in a speak to us and you can meet the other three CEO’s”
“Who are they? I can’t be arsed with people so far up their own arses Kelly”
“I think you’ll like them I promise”
“So let me get this straight you walked and started another label?”
“With some persuasion from the three other CEO’s…It was an easy decision really”
“Okay when do you want to meet?”
“How about tonight?” Kelly asked “Say 8 well go for dinner bring Carmen”
“Yeah okay I’ll see you then” Jess hung up and got up leaving her studio
“Jace…round the boys up, dinner tonight to meet Kelly, she’s started a new label and wants to sign us”
“Okay” Jace smiled “I’m off to the gym with them now”

Jess sat on the sofa next to Lisa and let her head rest on Lisa’s shoulder
“Are you good?” Lisa asked
“Yeah I’m getting there” Jess smiled
“You still not speaking to Mama?”
“I’m being civil I made her coffee this morning” Jess smirked
“Oh go you” Lisa laughed
“Yeah well it’s a start” Jess smiled
“Are you going to go see Mason?” Lisa asked
“He’s getting home in a few days” Jess sighed
“Yes but he thinks you don’t want to see him Jess and he thinks you’re angry at him”
“I’m not angry at him, I’m just struggling with it a little bit” Jess admitted
“Because no matter who tell you it wasn’t your fault you’re still blaming yourself” Lisa sighed “That’s why you’re angry at Mama, she was the one person you needed to tell you it wasn’t your fault and she stupidly did the opposite”
Jess didn’t say anything
“I know you Jess and Mum knows that’s why too”
Jess wiped the tears from her eyes “I promised him I’d always protect him”
“And you did…you found him…you didn’t stop looking until you found him…You held him in your arms keeping the little heat he had in him!” Lisa stated
Carmen stood behind them listening
“Let me take you to see him” Lisa sighed
“I can’t”
“You can…He needs you Jess and he needs you to tell him you’re not angry at him” Lisa explained “I can tell him…Mum and Mama can tell him but he needs to hear it from you”
