Bette walked into the house; Jace, Lisa, Jess and Carmen were watching TV.
Jess looked up then got up. “Excuse me”
“Jess please don’t be like this” Bette sighed
Jess kept walking straight through to her side of the house.
“How could you say that to her Mama?” Lisa asked
“Lisa it’s been took well out of context” Bette explained
“I’m sorry us being teenagers and having silly couple arguments caused you lots of grief, I’m sorry Jess is extremely talented and you can’t see that, and lastly I’m sorry my dad’s car had a fault causing me to lose my parents and almost my ability walk” Carmen snapped before getting up and leaving the room
Bette threw her hands up in the air turning and leaving the house again
“Jesus…That’s a first” Jace said shocked
“I’ve never seen Carmen stand up to my Mama like that” Lisa looked at her husband
“I agree” Jace nodded
Lisa got up pulling Jace with her, let’s go check on them.
“Is it safe?” Jace laughed

Bette walked into the school and through to her office. James looked at her and then to Jodie.
“Bette should you be here?” Jodie asked
“Look no questions if anyone asks I’m not here I just need some quiet and space” Bette stated
“Is everything okay?” James asked
“My wife is pissed at me, my kids are pissed at me and frankly I just need a cup of tea that’s not in a paper cup.”
“How’s Mason?”
“Keeping his mouth shut about who done it” Bette explained
“What a surprise” Jodie sighed “I have my suspicions”
“Yes me too, but were not allowed to act on them until we have solid facts” Bette said “I’ll be in my office”
Bette walked into her office and closed the door, she walked over turning on her kettle and then sitting down on the sofa and rubbing her temples.
Her phone knocked her out of her daze.
“Andrew hi…Have you spoken to Lucas? Yes well Jodie is here today you would be best to speak to her regarding that incident she dealt with it…Yes that be great, thanks Andrew I appreciate all your help with this.” Bette said “Absolutely you take care”
Bette put her phone on her desk and got up making herself a mug of green tea.

“Mason I can’t help if I don’t know what’s going on” Tina tried
“Does Jess hate me?” Mason asked
“No absolutely not, Jess loves you and is worried” Tina sat on the edge of Mason’s bed
“She hasn’t come to see me”
“I’ve had Jess on the phone twice a day, everyday you’ve been in here” Tina explained
“She hasn’t come to see me though” Mason explained
“Honey…”
“Mum everyone has come to see me except Jess, is she angry I said everything was about her? I didn’t mean it like that”
“No sweetie I can promise you that Jess is not angry at you…I will ask Jess to come and see you”
“Hey trouble how you feeling?” Lisa asked walking into the room
“Hi Lisa” Mason sighed
“Did you come yourself?” Tina asked
“Yeah, Jace is away to the gym with Carmen and Jess is sleeping” Lisa smiled sitting next to Mason on the other side of his bed.
“Where’s Mama?”
“No idea”
“She was coming home” Tina looked at Lisa
“She did for about 5 minutes” Lisa looked at the floor
“Lisa can I speak to you outside please” Tina got up
“Can we negotiate?”
“No outside go” Tina instructed
Lisa got up and followed Tina out the room
“What the hell is going on?”
“Well I know why Jess and you are pissed and so does Carmen” Lisa explained
“And you all didn’t miss Mama the minute she walked in the door” Tina ran her hands through her hair
“Well Carmen wasn’t really happy, Jess did what she always does and walked away” Lisa explained
“Where is Mama?”
“I have no idea” Lisa explained
“Stay with your brother please” Tina walked back into Mason’s room lifting her bag and mobile “Give me your car keys”
Lisa handed her keys to Tina
“Sweetie I’m just going home for a shower, I won’t be long I promise” Tina kissed Mason on the top of the head “I love you”
Tina left the room; Lisa looked at her younger brother then got back on the bed beside him and put her arm around him.
“So what did the doctor say today?”
“Just that I can’t go home for another week” Mason sighed “But Jace said he’s going to bring my x-box in for me”
“Yeah he did mention that” Lisa smiled “How’s the pain?”
“Still sore and I can’t sleep through the night for some strange reason”
“That sucks” Lisa sighed “So I brought your I-pad and Jace put videos on it”
“Cool do you want to watch one with me?” Mason asked
“Sure let’s do it, let me just get comfortable, you hungry I brought sweets” Lisa smiled
“Yes” Mason’s eyes lit up “The food in here is gross”
“Ok let’s watch Insurgent”
