    “Okay deal” Tina smiled “Don’t smile you haven’t won yet” Bette laughed kissing Tina. “And were not speaking to her today about it”   2 days later… Jess was lying on the sofa watching Hotel Transylvania with Mason she still was on her voice rest. Carmen leaned down kissing her forehead. She was getting irritated

    “Okay deal” Tina smiled

    “Don’t smile you haven’t won yet” Bette laughed kissing Tina. “And were not speaking to her today about it”

     

    2 days later…

    Jess was lying on the sofa watching Hotel Transylvania with Mason she still was on her voice rest.

    Carmen leaned down kissing her forehead. She was getting irritated with Jess not being able to speak and finding it difficult.

    “You ready?” Carmen asked

    Jess nodded getting up

    “Your mum is going to meet us at the hospital” Bette said lifting her car keys

    “Bette I’ll drive well take the range rover I need to put fuel in it” Carmen said

    “Okay” Bette smiled putting her keys back down “Mason Lisa and Jace are up the stairs if you need them”

     

    They walked into the hospital and up to the top floor.

    “The laryngologist shouldn’t be too long” the receptionist said

    The doctor called Jess’s name 5 minutes later.

    “Hi only one person can accompany Jess” The doctor responded

    “We’re her parents and this is her fiancée, were all relevant in Jess’s life so we will all be accompanying her” Bette stated irritated at the tone of the doctors voice.

    “I don’t have a big treatment room”

    “That’s fine were all small, we won’t take up too much space” Tina stated

    Jess and Carmen smirked

    The doctor realised she was fighting a losing battle.

    “So Jess I read over the recommendation from your doctor, and I know you’re on voice rest so I would like you to nod or write on my notepad the answer okay?”

    Jess nodded

    “Is it still painful?”

    Jess nodded yes.

    “When did it start?”

    “Monday” Bette answered “She woke up and was in pain and I took her to the doctors.”

    “Okay do you mind if I have a look?”

    The doctor got up and walked around to her bed “Okay if you just come lay up here…I’m just going to lower the bed and tilt your head back and have a look so I need you to open as wide as you can.”

    Jess did as she was asked.

    “Yes its most definitely inflamed and I can see small lumps on your vocal chords which indicate to me vocal nodules, I’d like to get my co-worker to have a look just to confirm it…I understand you’re a vocalist?”

    1. Poor JESS can not get a break it seems,now the prospect of needing surgery on top of not being able to talk is daunting .Get it taken care of sooner rather than later is the best option for her.MASON don’t be afraid go back to school.thanks
