“Look I know I’m in the wrong, I know this is my fault!” Bette stated

“Who’s right, who’s wrong…Who really cares Mama, it’s the pain this is causing every single one of us…look what you’re doing to Mum, who’s been by your side through absolutely everything…is this fair?” Jess said “I know your hurting, I understand that, I can’t imagine what you’ve went through and I can’t imagine what Mum has went through, I know how I felt when I almost lost Carmen, life is too short for all this crap!”

“I just need some time to myself”

“No-one bothers you; we’ve all left you alone for weeks and let you snap constantly!” Jess explained

“Jess there is nothing you can say to change my mind, I’m going the easy way or the hard way”

Jess walked over to Tina and stood at the door.

“Well you will need to remove me and Mum from the door”

“This is fucking ridiculous!”

“No your being ridiculous here… you have a family who love you more than anything and your wanting to walk out the door” Lisa snapped “What do we tell Mason?”

“I don’t fucking care just get away from the door!” Bette snapped

Tina walked over to Bette

“Look at me!” Tina said

Bette couldn’t

“You can’t even look at me and you want me to let you walk out that door” Tina sniffed wiping tears from her eyes “What have I done for you to do this?”

“You haven’t done anything; I just can’t breathe I need to get away from here”

“Let me come with you” Tina said

“You have work”

“Fuck work, my wife takes priority!” Tina stated

“I don’t want you to come” Bette said looking at Tina “I don’t need you; I don’t need any of you!”

Tina, Lisa and Jess all felt a sharp pain in their hearts.

“Let her go Jess” Tina struggled to say the sentence.

“Mum.” Jess looked at Tina

“LET HER GO!” Tina shouted

Jess walked away from the door, Bette lifted her suitcase and walked out the door not even closing it.

Tina let herself fall to the floor, as all the emotion she had been holding in for week came flooding out. Jess and Lisa both pulled Tina up from the floor and into the lounge. Lisa pulled her Mum into her arms. Jess looked at Tina as tears made her way down her own eyes. She turned leaving the house and walking down the drive and out the gates, Bette’s car was nowhere in sight.

20 minutes later…

Jess stood banging on the door tears still streaming down her face. Dana opened the door.

“Jess what is wrong?” Dana panic’d pulling her niece into the house

Alice came out the lounge

“Mama is gone” Jess managed to get out

“Look calm yourself down” Alice handed Jess a tissue

“She said she doesn’t need us, she’s gone” Jess told them

Alice got up from the floor lifting her mobile and calling Bette, it went straight to voicemail.

“Porter you better have a good fucking excuse for this one…Call me back!” Alice snapped

“Mum’s a mess” Jess explained

“Let’s go” Dana said getting up and lifting her keys

“I can’t see her like that” Jess explained “Can you just drop me at the studio”

“If that’s what you want” Alice agreed “Is the boys there?”

“Yeah”
