“Yeah man it’s hard they wanted to fire me because I wasn’t people friendly” Mark told them

“True I forgot about that” Jess laughed “I stuck my neck on the line night after night, I broke up with Carmen for my career twice, it’s not an easy route”

“You need to give up a lot to live this life” Jace explained

“Yeah absolutely, but the memories you make and friends are second to none” Lee explained “Chrissy my best advice is lose the attitude”

“I said that” Carmen smiled

“We will help you guys as much as we can, but lay off with the attitude” Jace said

“And pick your enemies better because I am the most stubborn person you will come across” Jess smiled

“I second that” Carmen laughed

“Yep Jess can hold a grudge” Lisa said “I should know better than anyone I’m her twin”

“Okay were going, hope it goes well in the studio” Jace smiled

“Don’t suppose you want to stay for a while?” Carmen asked Jess

Jess looked at Lisa and Mason

“It’s up to you, were going home to chill and Mum will be home soon anyway” Lisa stated

“Okay I’ll stay” Jess smiled

“Okay guys go get set up” Carmen instructed

They did as Carmen asked as Carmen and Jess were saying bye to everyone else. Jess sat beside her wife at the mixing desk.

“Have you heard them?” Carmen asked

“Nope I refused to listen to them when Mcbitchy annoyed me” Jess smirked

Carmen laughed shaking her head. She kissed Jess on the cheek.

“Have you even been home yet?”

“I got changed in work and came straight here” Carmen smiled “Jacob is off on holiday so no-one else could engineer”

“Okay guys were going to start with Talk, so if you run through it so we can get the levels right” Carmen stated

Jess listened very carefully to the full song.

“What you think?” Carmen asked

“Can she hear me?”

“No” Carmen laughed

“Just checking, she’s shouting and pushing her voice to hard, it will echo and blare when you record it” Jess explained “His guitar is slightly out of tune too”

“Tell her” Carmen smiled

“Yeah no chance, last time I gave my opinion she flipped”

“I’m here she won’t flip” Carmen smirked

Jess pressed the button. “Ok I can give you some constructive criticism if you want it”

“Yes” Will said

“Dan your guitar is out of tune slightly buddy, and Chrissy your shouting and pushing your voice too hard you will lost your voice, take that from experience I’m just after vocal surgery” Jess explained “Do you have a bass guitarist?”

“Not yet were working on it, they will probably only have one for touring” Carmen explained

“Do you want me to put a bass line in?” Jess asked

“Can you play?” Chrissy asked

“Yes” Jess smiled “I can also put a rhythm guitar line on the recording for you”

“That would save you studio time, Mean’s Dan can just do lead” Carmen stated

“Where’s Jess?” Tina asked

“At the studio helping Carmen with Against the Current” Jace explained as he took Liam’s jacket off him

“Wait didn’t we pull them apart the other day?”

“Yep” Lisa laughed “Chrissy apologised”

“Oh okay then, It’s keeping Jess busy I suppose” Tina smiled “How’s my boy?”

Tina pulled Mason into a hug.

“I’m good, you okay mum?”

“I am now” Tina smiled hugging Mason and kissing him on the head “Jace your mum doesn’t need to take Liam tomorrow, I’m off so I would like to have him for the day if that’s okay”

“Off course it is” Jace smiled “He’d much rather be with Nana T than Grandma”
