“Okay so there is an infection spreading through Jess’s body and it’s putting pressure on her heart and causing one of the valves to fail so we need to operate and replace the valve” Callie explained

Bette looked to Tina and Carmen stood up as did Lisa.

“Wait What?” Carmen said confused

“Isn’t that what they did to you?” Tina asked Bette

“Callie you need to explain this better!” Bette stated

“The infection is causing the seizures and her heart is struggling to maintain the blood flow due to the infection, it’s totally different circumstances to yourself Bette, but yes it’s the same procedure”

“That’s a major operation; she’s just had surgery on her fucking head are you absolutely kidding me!” Lisa snapped

“You’re not touching my wife till I speak to someone else, I want a second opinion!” Carmen snapped

Jess lay listening to everything that was being said.

“Look let’s just calm it” Jess said softly “And please quit shouting my head is banging”

“Dr Yang is going to come speak to you, she done your Mama’s procedure she’s the best we have in this hospital” Callie said looking at Jess

“I don’t care no-one is touching her till I have every single fact! Right now all I feel your doing is using her as a fucking experiment, test after test after test!”

“No Jess I’m serious, you’ve been here two weeks now and you’re getting worse instead of better and I’m supposed to just sit back and say do what you like” Carmen snapped

“Carmen as Jess is awake and in an understanding state she can give consent” Callie stated

“Well that’s just brilliant” Carmen snapped leaving the room

Jess closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

“Your all doing my head in” Jess said “I just want to have a little nap”

“Oh my god” Lisa laughed leaving the room

Bette got on the bed lying beside Jess as Callie left the room.

“Go back to sleep” Bette said rubbing Jess’s head

Tina sat down on the chair letting her head go into overdrive.

Jess was asleep in minutes.
“She’s not got the energy for all of this” Bette sighed

“Me and her both” Tina said lifting her phone to text Alice and Dana.
