    “Yes. Things at work weren’t going well; things at home certainly were not.  Then there was Candace.  She eased the pressure I felt from you and work.  She numbed me.  But when you left, I didn’t know what to do.”

     

    “Obviously you did.  You spent a whole month with her.  Then……….then you married the low down bitch!”

     

    Bette gave Tina a look of anger.  No way was she going to stand there and let Tina talk that way about her dearly departed wife.

     

     

    Meanwhile, back at the hospital, the machine that was hooked up to Angelica went off.   This noise alerted the nurses and doctors who were in the middle of prepping her for surgery.

     

    “Get the defibrillator–she’s going flat!” the doctor yelled!

    Tina sat there on the each of the bed, not believing how she referred to the woman who kept Bette close to Angelica.  The woman who did nothing but help her baby through really hard times.  The liquor was getting the best of it.

     

    “Bette, I’m sorry for calling her that.  I just had been trying hard to understand the affair.  Trying hard to understand where I went wrong.  Trying hard to understand why you would do that to me.”

     

    Bette couldn’t speak.  She knew Tina had taken the affair hard but she never knew how it affected her emotionally.  She could see the same hurt in Tina’s eyes that she saw that night.  The look that had haunted her for the last twenty-five years. 

     

    Bette walked over to Tina and sat down next to her.

     

    “Tina, most affairs are not totally about the other person.  It was more of a selfish move.  I used all those things to escape instead of working things out with you.  Tina, I’m sorry that I hurt you.  I’m sorry that I didn’t come to you and tell you how hopeless and how abandoned I felt.”

     

    “But why did you feel that you couldn’t come to me?

     

    “Tina, you had just lost our boy.  And then you buried yourself into that volunteer work with Oscar.  You looked like you had moved on, like you were ok with what happened.  I couldn’t see myself bringing you down.”

    3. It been a long time. Michael seem to accept Angie,but Ashley doesn’t. Jealous maybe. Hope that that is Candace so she can talk to Angie then send her back to her family. thanks

    8. Definitely GLAD to see u back!!!! Please let Ash get OVER herself. She should be thankful she had to loving parents or parents at ALL. Being mixed and having two moms is NOT the end of the world. Maybe u should have her talk to Henry. Also, Tina needs to let it all go and move on toward and with Bette. PPS!!!!
