    “But I wasn’t ok.  I was very much depressed and miserable.  I was your partner, Bette.  You should have come to me.  You should have leaned on me.”

     

    “I just couldn’t.  Kit was the only person who I could go to.  And she ripped into me pretty hard.”

     

    “Then when I realized that you were pregnant again and that maybe Helena was going to raise the baby that I picked out the donor for, I was devastated.  Once again, I was the last to know, Tina.”

     

    “Bette, that was because you didn’t open your eyes and see me.  You were so into yourself and work like before that you didn’t even noticed. I was going to surprise you.  That day in the shower when you asked me to try again, I had already got the ok from Dr. Wilson.  I was waiting until the night of the show to tell you.  To tell you that I had done it.”

     

     

    Back at Bette’s home, Marcus explained everything to Ashlia.  She was not pleased that her mom was running after another daughter.  No way in hell was there room in her mother’s life for another child.  Especially one like her.  Ashlia hated her mothers for bringing her into this world.  Hated them for being gay.  Hated them for being biracial.  She blamed them for hateful comments she got when she was a kid.

     

    “So you’re saying that mom wanted Bette to go after this daughter that might not want her in her life?  Mom would be an ass if she does.”

     

    “Why are you being this way, Ash?  Why can’t you be happy that mom is going to be reunited with her first child?”

     

    “Because she was raised by a normal family: a mom and dad.  She doesn’t need some have mixed woman to come in and fuck up her world.  She might have got comments about why she is darker than her parents but she never got picked on for having two moms!”

     

    Marcus knew that it was hard growing up with two moms and being of mixed race.  But he learned to deal with the ugliness.  Why hadn’t Ash?

     

     

    Michael waited patiently for his dad to tell him why.  To tell him what had been terrorizing him for all this time.  Henry knew that he had to confess; had to explain his actions.

     

    “Michael, when was young I was raped by a family friend.  He made me do things that a boy my age shouldn’t be doing.  He made me watch what he did to the other kids in the neighborhood.”

     

    Meanwhile in the room down from Henry, Angelica laid there fighting for her life.  Some strong force was guiding her to a bright light.  The force that she felt was not frightening, it was very peaceful, very calm.  As she gave in, she slowly felt her spirit rise from her earthly body.  She floated over to the light,  and there stood the woman who had helped her through her early years.  The woman that she had wanted to meet for the longest.

     

    “Angelica, it’s nice to finally meet you.”

    8. Definitely GLAD to see u back!!!! Please let Ash get OVER herself. She should be thankful she had to loving parents or parents at ALL. Being mixed and having two moms is NOT the end of the world. Maybe u should have her talk to Henry. Also, Tina needs to let it all go and move on toward and with Bette. PPS!!!!
