"what if she doesn’t?"

"Yea that’s the question I have been asking myself all night. I wouldn’t know how to explain that to Angie. Your Mama T has no idea who you are! It breaks my heart just thinking about it"

"What time are visiting hours?"

"8am so I will be there at 7:55." Bette gave Shane a weak smile.

They stood in silence for a few minutes as each of them thought about what tomorrow could bring.

Bette put Angie to bed and she took a long hot shower. Everything she did she thought of Tina.
All the showers they shared together. More in the beginning of their relationship many years ago. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
As she climbed into bed she looked over to Tina’s side she missed going to bed spooning Tina and waking up to her beautiful face.
She couldn’t wait to see her tomorrow and hopefully bring her home and put back where she belongs, next to her in this big bed, in the room next to her daughter, in the house they shared in the life they had built together.

She tossed and turned most of the night not falling asleep for more than an hour at a time.

Across town in a hospital bed Tina was doing the same thing.

Tomorrow could not have come fast enough!

Bette’s alarm went off at 6:30am but she was already awake. Just laying in bed enjoying the silence. She would get Angie ready and drop her by Kit’s on her way back to the hospital. Thankfully Kit had offered to keep her overnight if she needed to. Which might a good thing for Tina.

She felt like she was moving in slow motion as she got Angie dressed and fed her breakfast. She got in the car and felt her heart begin to beat at a much faster rate.

Kit was waiting outside to make the transition quick- she knew Bette would be anxious to get going to the hospital.

"Hey baby sis- how you doing?"

"Ok- just ready to get there and see what we have to face"

"Well don’t you worry about this baby girl- I will take good care of her. You just call me later and give me an update ok?"

"Thanks! I will. bye Angie I love you!"

Bette drove to the hospital and million thoughts were running through her head. She just wanted to see Tina, no matter what happened.

She went to the nurses station and ask to see Tina Kennard. The nurse told her the room number. She walked down the familiar hallway and stopped outside Tina’s door. She wasn’t sure if she should just walk in or look for a doctor. As she was waiting outside a doctor came up to her.

"Are you here to see Ms. Kennard?"

"Yes, I am"

"Are the woman who identified her?"

"Yea I am. How is she?"

"Well her physical injuries from the crash are on the mend. She would be able to be discharged today- but I’m not where she would go."

"What do you mean? We have a home together. She would come home with me"

"Well the problem is she doesn’t know who you are."

"I just want to see her, maybe she will remember."

"Ok go ahead. I will be back in a little while to disscuss what should happen next"

Bette slowly opened the door and walked around the curtain. Tina was asleep. She looks perfect to Bette even though she had a bandage over one eye and a sling held her arm.

Bette pulled a chair over to the bedside and sat there and watch Tina sleep. Tina started to stir about 30 min later. She looked at Bette and was starlted.

"Hi" Bette said in a soft sweet voice

"Um Hi" Tina said confused.

"Tina do you know who I am" Bette now had tears in her eyes.

"I’m sorry I don’t!"
