You Can Always Remember What You Can Never Forget (Chap11)

    Previously

Tina stood up from the bed and slowly and gently embraced Bette. They both out a loud sigh. Their bodies melted together. Neither wanted to pull away. Tina was so lost she didn’t know who she was or what her life was about, but what she did know was Bette felt safe and she felt love from Bette. Bette too was lost. This was the love of her life and she wanted to be able to express her love and she couldn’t. She could also see her love hurting and it was killing her not to be able to  make it better. Bette took a deep inhale of Tina’s hair. She didn’t want to let her go. She held her tighter and Tina let her. They stayed that way for at least 5 minutes.

Angie came in their room and saw her mommies hugging(something she saw often). She ran over and grabbed onto both of their legs.

"Love Mama T Love Mama B."

Bette and Tina reached down and hugged Angie. Bette felt again for just one second that she had her family back.

    Chapter 11

Bette and Tina finally separated but still looked long and hard into each other’s eyes. Tina reached her hand up to Bette cheek.

"Thank you for loving me so much Bette"

"T- loving you is the easiest thing I’ve ever had to do."

"I just hope that you will be patient with me as I try and figure my life out."

"Of coarse. I will give you all the space and time you need."

"Well space is not that I want- just time." Tina smiled at Bette and saw Bette reflecting her smile.

"Ready to go meet our extended family?"

    "Yep"

The Porter-Kennard clan hopped in the car and headed for the planet.  Bette was still hopefully that at any minute Tina would remember.

All the girls were gathered at a table in the back. They weren’t really talking, just sitting and waiting. They all wondered what it would be like to see Tina and how she would react to them.

Alice saw Bette, Angie and Tina walk in the door first.

    "Here we go girls."

Alice got up and all the girls followed suit.

    1. well i have the answer to my own internal question that I never wanted to put out there in the comment…”would tina remember the bad things first or helena, before her good life with Bette/Angie”

    2. You know I never thought about it that way….that Tina might remember the bad things that happened between her and Bette before she remembers the good things. I love this story. PPS

    3. With the quick vision of the table-tossing, it might be that Tina may get the bad stuff first. But, as long as her memory comes back, she has Bette and the girls to get her through. Hi, LuvTibette, beat you again.

    4. I guess it’s better Tina remember the bad things first after all. It’s heart breaking but I prefer it n tis order lol the good last and or ever. Thank you for the post love it. PPVS

    5. I, too, was hoping that Tina wouldn’t remember the bad things first but those were the most traumatic and would probably be what she remembered most. Damn it. Hopefully she will surely connect with Bette and the good feelings that she has when she is near Bette as well as with Angie. I thought that she might remember the love she felt for Angie and of course, the love Angie has for her which is monumental. Oh well, baby steps are needed before any big happening. Thanks for posting.

    6. This is so good, a very interesting premise and so emotional. Shane’s answer was very touching. Between Tina, Bette, and Angie this brings up so many feelings and thoughts regarding love and memory – how they relate to or maybe even transcend one another. Thank you for taking us on this journey.

    7. OH my Tina is going to relive the bad parts first…oh this drama is continuing for a while….for sure….but it will at least get her back poor Bette no matter what she does it just always follows her !

    8. Oh no, my heart is breaking. The girls did well at breakfast and at least Tina had a spurt of a memory although not one that we want to remember. Now Bette is so heartbroken feeling that she will lose the love of her life again.

    9. This story is what I call deluxe tear-jerker drama supreme! Get out the kleenex, it’s gonna be a wet one! Either Tina will remember or Bette will die of heartache. Thanks!

    10. Great update and was so sad. Thank you for this story :) At least Tina is remembering something be it a bad thing but it will all get better I’m sure! Thank you again!
