Ok what is it then?

Bette dries her hands. I’m just tired it has been a long week and a very exhausting day. And I didn’t sleep well last night. Which by the way you never asked me where I slept do you even care?

Is that why you’re in such a snoot?  For your information Ms. Porter  I waited outside for you and saw you get into a cab… Bette could see the red on her chest coming on…then I followed you to your sister’s house and waited until you were safely inside. More than I could say for your concern over me you didn’t call and make sure I was safe or tell me where you were. She turns the heat off under the food and throws her wooden spoon down on the stove …dinner is ready I’m going to soak in the tub and try to melt these Kennard temper feelings I have away!

Well then I’m glad we came home for dinner instead of going out, Bette says at a whisper. Great Porter you managed to piss her off again way to go. I see this weekend is going to be so much fun. And Bette was thinking and mumbling to herself as she played in the food with the spoon. I did check on you, you just don’t know it, I had Alice to drive by the house on her way home to make sure you made it home. Turning out the light in the kitchen an falls down on the couch thinking it’s not the bed but at least I’m in the house. Takes her jacket off  rubs her feet for a few minutes the dogs come over she runs them a way and lays down with one arm over her head and other on her belly and falls asleep.

Tina had undressed from the outfit she had hoped that Bette would be taking off of her tonight. But she was wrong. She knew she should have left well enough alone but she had been thinking about it all day she had meant to mention it early that day so all would have been hashed out but it got put on the back burner with Jane’s interruption. And it really wasn’t that big of deal. I know she loves me and why wouldn’t she think I made it home ok, I drive it every day. I mean Just because I was a little upset when she left me. And I had taken her ring off only to have her to threatened me not to put it back on if I didn’t trust her was no reason to worry where I was or if I had made it home safely, I mean my mind was in full contact with my Kennard temper in toe…No reason at all to worry. She was talking out loud with all her thoughts and was now in the water soaking…closes her eyes thinking it sure is awfully quiet out there…Did she even eat after I rushed home to cook…I know she’s hungry she probably only had a salad at lunch not to mention a few drinks, since most of Bette’s lunch meetings do….she looked so tired and I could tell she was irritable by the way she was with the kids, she’s never like that with them…she must have had one hell of a day after having one hell of a night.. plus our conversation on top of that. Then only to have me slam her once more…God I’m horrible. Why couldn’t I just left that alone until we both had some sleep.
