Bette is saying her goodbyes to Tina before she boards her plane. I love you and I’ll see you when you get back.

Tina is crying I don’t like this one bit, but I know you’re thinking of me and I guess I’ll see you Sunday evening. Giving Bette one last kiss and touching heads together after.. Tina is still holding Bette’s shirt not wanting to let go.

Baby you have to go now it’s last call. Tina nods and lets it her shirt go, smooths it down…Later Babe. Their hands stretch out until Tina has to let go. Bette waves. She stays until she sees Tina’s jet leave. Then she broke and cried herself. Breaths out…  Fuck that was painful and heads home.

She sleeps on the couch which Tina had made up for her already because she knew Bette wouldn’t sleep in their bed. The next day was full of meetings that kept Bette’s mind occupied. One meeting was to see what’s going into the next issue of the magazine. Bette had given Sasha the day off because she knew she didn’t have time to deal with her today but told her that she wished to see her nine am sharp Friday morning.

Tina’s father picks up his worn out daughter. He could see what Bette tried to explain to Lynn on the phone earlier that day. He doesn’t say anything about Bette’s call just that she was coming for a visit. Tina gives her Dad a long hard hug like she would do when she was younger when she had a hard fall emotionally whether it be fights with her best friend, boy troubles or her school grades in college. Tina always fell hard and Dad’s hugs always seemed to help. Joe’s not so sure they still work but was hopeful.

In the truck Tina speaks first asking how everyone was. Joe telling her they were all fine. But what about my sweetheart? You look tired.
