Don’t talk like that!…Tina is now feeling her emotions changing.
Babe I’m not saying something is going to, but God forbid if it did I want you to have everything that is mine.
Tina’s mouth is partially open taking in what Bette is saying. No! Bette.
Babe yes…I already had my lawyer to draw up the papers and we’re going to his office next Monday so we can sign them.
Bette I can’t let you do that.
Well it’s too late because it’s done and after we’re married you will have to sign them again.
Babe I was planning on asking you for a prenup.
What? Bette says in disbelief.
A prenup Bette. I don’t want your family and friends thinking I’m after your money.
Babe no one thinks that. They all love you and they know you love me… Bette scoots closer to Tina. Taking her hands into hers…And the most important one knows you’re not after my money and that you love me for me.
I really hope you do…Tina says with tears threatening to fall and a lump swelling in her throat.
Bette seeing Tina get teary eyed causes hers to fall. She kisses Tina then says…I most certainly do and there will be no prenup. She wipes her face…What’s mine is yours. I’m doing this now, just in case because we don’t know what tomorrow might bring and I want to know that you are taken care of. Let me do this for you and for my peace of mind. Bette says choking on the lump in her throat and touching her chest with one hand.
But I don’t need your money I can manage on my own. You have your mom and sister to think about.
Kit and my mother are well taken care of I assure you of that. Besides I not only left you my belonging but also some responsibilities like my father’s foundation, Bette looks down at her hands. I thought maybe you would make sure it kept going.
Bette I don’t know anything about his charities and how it all works…

Wonderful surprise to get a update just before heading up to bed! And wow, the dresses sounds really beautiful, can you post a picture?
Ok, off to bed, have a plane to catch tomorrow, i am going for four days to Rome with my lovely wife. If it is a great place, maybe the happy couple can spend their honeymoon there and offcourse in my beautiful country the Netherlands ;-)

Hello! Thanks for another post! I worked 3 pm til 11:30 pm Sunday! So, I’ve being working my ass off this week. My off days are now Thursday and Friday. I still hate nights! I’m grateful and appreciate having a job but hate the change in my life. Wish you could post everyday. Well, I’m off to bed now its 2:05 am here in the good old US of A! PPS
Geez …your shifts SUCK!… yes I know all to well about those life changing jobs some times they are out of our control but doesn’t make it hurt any less.. I hate mine at the moment I feel like I’m starting at the bottom again and having to prove myself all over again.. It Sucks!..your resume should speak for it’s self but when it’s ran by men they gloss over and don’t always see you as an equal. It was time for Bette to tell Tina about her finances and her will, I think it so sweet that she wants Tina to be taken care of. Bette’s Mom gift to Tina was so sweet…her something new! Yes, I’m still looking forward to the wedding and I just love how you are writing Bette/Tina in this story! :-)
