Alice was snapped out from her thought when her cell phone went off. She ran to the bed and searched for her phone.
"Hello?"
"Al, please come back to the hospital!" Tina yelled at the tip of her lung.
"Omg, what happened?" Alice asked as she grabbed her keys and headed to the main door.
"I don’t know, Dana just, she just, oohh, please come back Al!"
When Alice arrived at the ICU, she almost collapsed to the floor when she saw a group of medical staffs surrounding Dana. It was just like the time when Dana suffered from a heart attack, except this time they didn’t use the paddles.She walked slowly towards the door and was about to go in when she bumped into the doctor. She was puzzled as she looked at the doctor, his face was unreadable. Tina and Helena were beside her, holding her to prevent her from collapsing onto the floor.
"You are just about time." The doctor smiled at her.
"What?" Alice could barely whisper. Her voice was trembling and her body was shaking.
"Dana wakes up and whispers your name." Alice thought that she was dreaming.
"So, come in, before she doze off, she’s waiting for you." The doctor lead Alice to the room and motioned Tina and Helena to wait outside. They were overwhelmed with joy and quickly called their friends to tell them about the news.
The doctor and the medical staffs left the room shortly after Alice was in. Alice could not hide but to let a stream of happy tears flow down her cheek when she saw Dana looking at her. She quickly ran to Dana’s side and hold her hand tightly.
"Hi baby, you wake up at last." Alice said in between sob. She leaned in closer to Dana’s mouth as Dana was saying something to her, but her voice was too weak.
"I’m sorry. I love you." Dana whispered.
"It doesn’t matter Dane,as long as you are here fighting for us, promise?"
"Promise" Dana smiled weakly. Then she dozed off while Alice was caressing her cheek and whispering to her.
Thank you Dane, thanks for fighting for us, was all Alice said before she drifted off to sleep.

Hi uhhuh! I ‘ve been reading this story from the beginning as well as your previous ones but I don’t usually have time to leave comments. This post,however, really moved me and I thought it would be good to leave a comment. The letter to Shane was a great idea that you had as a writer. And it served its purpose well to create that certain atmosphere that I think you intended to. Well Done!P.S. I really hope Dana gets well and be with Alice once more but it’s your story and you should do what you think is best. I’ll be reading. :) Thanks! Take care!
You broke the record with 3 different stories in one day. I had to take a dinner break after reading your story to compose myself. I am with MaGoose & observer, the letter was extraordinarily moving. It hit home alright. I am a sucker for tearjerkers. You did an outstanding job with it. Over time, reading all these Danish fanfics, a few had caused me shed tears, and this is one of them. The rest of the update was suspenseful too. Please allow D to slowly (I do mean slowly, so you can torture me more, lol) get well. Seriously, I want to learn all about the 10 letters D wrote. Thank you again, you rock! I also thought the song “Last Request” was perfect under the circumstance. p.s. The youtube music video posted by iloveleisha in April 2007 was put together beautifully. Another post? You are on fire!! This one was great, as well. I am torn on Alice reading the letters. And the letter to Shane was just heartbreaking. How much in love must Dana be to have done something like that? I wonder if Shane would have followed Dana’s wishes – I find it hard to believe Shane would continue a ruse like that. I am glad Alice didn’t get into an accident trying to get back to the hospital. How scary that must have been. And Dana is fighting for them? Yay!!! I hope Dana gets better soon and they can put the hurt behind them and move forward. Thanks, uhhuh!!
