You Told Me You Love Me
Alice was typing on her laptop when she heard her cell phone rang. She looked at the ID and smiled.
"Hi Lenore"
"Hi Alice. How are you doing in London?"
"Fine. I was offered a position as an Editor for British News. But beside that I got to write my own article too. The pay is quite good. I have been here for like 5 months and slowly adapting to the environment now. I guess I like it here, with the job, people and stuff. So yeah."
"Glad that you like it there. Hitting on anybody recently?"
There’s a silent over at Alice’s side. Lenore sensed something was wrong.
"Hi, baby? You ok?"
"Yeah, Mom, I guess I have to hang up now. I have quite a number of articles to edit and the deadline is tomorrow 9am."
"Ok, dear, take care then. Just call whenever you are free. Miss you."
"Yeah, you take care too. Bye, Mom. Miss you too."
"Bye."
Alice sighed after she hung up. She looked at her watch. 12.30am. She looked around her new apartment. Nothing but empty. She felt empty. She walked over to her mini hi-fi and switched it on. Then she made her way to the balcony and looked at outside through the windows. It was snowing lightly. Alice wondered how was the whether like in LA now. It had been 5 months since she left LA and came to London. As she listened to the song, she felt tears running down her cheeks.
It’s over and done
but the heartache lives on inside
And who’s the one you’re clinging to
instead of me tonight?
And where are you now, now that I need you?
Tears on my pillow wherever you go
I’ll cry me a river that leads to your ocean
You never see me fall apart
In the words of a broken heart
it’s just emotion taking me over
Caught up in sorrow
lost in the song
but if you don’t come back
Come home to me, darling
don’t you know there’s nobody left in this world tohold me tight
nobody left in this world to kiss goodnight
Goodnight, goodnight
I’m there at your side,
I’m part of all the things you are

Aw Poor howie. I loved the start UhHUH. POOR AL. That is some powerful stuff. I can’t wait to see where you pick up with Dana breaking up with Alice because she knew she was sick.
Please uhhuh?? I can’t take it. My heart sank as Sharon said, “I guess this is Dana’s last wish.” You can’t do this. Please, I beg you to let D live. It does not matter how much time has passed, the sad & bitter feeling of S3E10 still lingers. I like your idea of D trying to save A from watching her cancer progressed. But I still believe that death was unnecessary. A & D belonged together. Please reconsider. Thank you very much. p.s. you may consider marking the pairing when you post, so that readers can find your post when looking for Dana & Alice. I have never posted but I am sure MaGoose or other writers will be glad to give you a hand.
Wow! Very powerfully written. Excellent start, uhhuh!! What an interesting take on the story to have Dana breaking up with Alice because she knew about the cancer. I am glad the Fairbanks family was playing nice with the rest of the group. That is a good touch, as well. Once again, you have me hooked. I hope Alice can give Dana the strength to fight. Thanks so much for the new Danish!!
great start to a new story, very very well written and I also hope that now that Alice is back it gives Dana something or rather somebody to fight for..
