“It wasn’t bad, but it was just different for me. She’s so close with her family. The only person I’m close with is Shay.”
“Did you at least enjoy yourself?”
“Yeah I did, her family is sweet and fun. I love her mom man—she’s the funniest woman I’ve met. I mean—I met not understand half the time, but she’s funny.” Alice walked into the den and shook her head as she looked at her mother.
“As much as I want to know about your event at Carmen’s, I gotta go and intend to my drunken mother.”
“All right—I’ll talk to you later.”
“Later,” Alice hung up her phone and sat it on the couch. She looked at the screen as she watched the old soap opera episodes that her mother was on. She sighed heavily as she looked at her mother passed out with her glass still in her hand. “What a mess, mom.” She began to shake her mother. “Mom,” she sighed and clapped her hands loudly. “LENORE!”
“Lee Majors!” Lenore jumped up, and Alice looked her mother weirdly.
“Lee Majors?” The door bell rang, and Alice looked up. “I’ll be back, don’t move.” She walked away from her mother for a moment and went to the door. “Who is it?”
“It’s me Al.” She opened the door.
“Dana?” She smiled softly. “What are you doing here? I thought you were grounded. Did you sneak—,” Dana pulled Alice into a kiss. She pulled away and smiled at Alice. Alice opened her eyes and bit her bottom lip. “Hi.”
“Hi. I wanted to come over and tell you that I am ungrounded.”
“What you do? Bribe your parents.” Dana shook her head no.
“Mom and dad actually talked about it, and mom apologize to me because she felt that she was out line.”
“Wow—is that a first with Mrs. Sharon Fairbanks knowing that she was out of line?”
“Uhh yeah, it is.” Dana grinned. “So what are you doing?”
“I’m actually trying to get my mother from off the couch and into her bed.” Alice sighed as she leaned against the door. “She’s really out of it tonight. Do you know who Lee Majors is?” Dana looked at Alice puzzled.
“Lee Majors?”
“Yeah, she said it when I woke her up. Do you know who it is?”
“Yeah, he’s the six million dollar man.”
“Ohhhh,” Alice nodded, and Dana chuckled.
“All right, c’mon,” Dana walked into the house.
“W-what are you doing?”
Dana turned around and grabbed her girlfriend’s hand. “I’m helping you with the Miss drunken Lenore.” Alice smiled and closed the door.

great chapter! i wonder what sharon is up to…i mean she has got to have an ulterior motive in letting dana off the hook…that mom/daughter day is going to be interesting…PPS
Aki I first want to congratulate you on your win, well deserved!!!! now I am really liking Bette and Helena they really seem to have fallen on love with each other, but what is the deal w/tina, don’t like her asking her to be friends with Bette,,kinda scary. and as for Al and Dana they are too cute and Shane and Carmen sexy too!!
hehe, way to go, teaching us old folks about those damned short forms. i have no idea how to work those things. i know i can put 2 instead of too, but its just so wierd to read it. very instructive. :) bette and tina had best not be gettin’ it on there luv. lol. pps

hey congats on your win! another great update. As old enough to someone who remembers the six million dollar man, I find the lee references by lenore amusing since she always about name drooping from her past and he was HUGE in the 80’s so of course she is all over him (next will most likely be “the Burt”

Congratulations Akira! I am so happy for you. Although I have not yet read “Another Chance,” seeing what you did with this story so far, I am sure you deserve it. Enjoy your DVD set and go out and celebrate. But please do not forget to continue this story. You are the only writer who wrote Danish in the last 3 days aside from fripster. I am getting a little worry again. Thank you for the apology from Mrs. F. I felt a little bit better. Another great update! Let’s see how B would deal with T. Thank you & Congrats again.
