    You’re my home – chapter 34

    You’re my home

    Chapter 34

Tina was sitting outside enjoying the now cool evening breeze. The job offer and the revelation of who was behind it had rattled Tina and she was trying to process her thoughts. She was slowly walking around the garden dead heading some flowers and pulling some weeds out who had sneaked in between her carefully arranged plants. She was no fool – of course Bette had been a player – she had known Bette’s reputation right from the onset of their relationship. How many times had women made a move for the stunningly beautiful brunette when they had been on holiday or in clubs ? For eight years Tina had been aware of all the women who desired Bette but she had felt immune – Bette belonged to her and her alone.

Then Candace had happened – Bette had betrayed her by sleeping with the carpenter – Tina could still remember the feelings she experienced that night when she realised that Bette had destroyed her world.

That had been over 4 years ago – that had been before she had conceived Angelica. So much had happened in the time they had been apart – they had both changed. Bette had become more at ease with herself and Tina had become more self assured. Those changes had tipped the scales so that they could fall in love again. For over three months they had been having an extended honeymoon – sex was mind-blowing and their connection was just so special.

And now life had pitched them this curve ball – how to react ?

Bette came outside. She had been reading but she knew that Tina was outside thinking and Bette was concerned about what was going on in the blonde’s head. Over dinner they had talked about the offer – the money was so good that it was impossible to ignore. But Bette had reservations – not just about who was making the offer.

Bette watched Tina at the top of their garden – she was pulling something up when she made a tiny cry and stepped back. Bette reached Tina’s side in seconds

    “What’s happened ?”

“ Damn bush – I had forgotten how vicious its branches are “

    1. Great job AllyE. Bette was so right to refuse the job. She knows what she has and she knows that if she takes this job the possibility exists that she could loose everything and that is not a scenario that she wishes to entertain besides she does not know what Jane’s motives are and knowing Jane there may be a number of motives. One of which is to get Bette back in her life. Jane has kept up with Bette’s career and knows what has happened in the past and she knows Bette’s weaknesses and is not above exploiting them. Now if Jane has Bette’s best interest at heart she will accept the refusal, if not she will come back with another offer and will not quit until she gets what she wants, which is Bette. But, of course, she does not count on alpha Tina to turn into her worse nightmare come to life. Can hardly wait for the next chapter. Post when you can.

    2. Way to go Bette!!! I am proud that she put her family first and made the right decision. Jane is out to hurt Bette, maybe payback for what Bette did to her all those years ago. Bette stay away she is a vampire. Hopefuly I am wrong, and this will be the last that we hear about Jane.

    3. Great update, Ally. Definitely the right decision by Bette. I’m hoping if Season 6 throws these same curveballs that Ilene will be as clever as you and keep B&T strong.

    4. Well, it’s nice to see that Bette really has learned what’s actually important to her and can prioritize things properly. This was a beautiful chapter the show us that Ally and of course fabulously wriiten as always.

    5. I think Bette was looking for a way out. I’m glad that she made the decision to spend more time with her family. Money doesn’t make up for lost time. Thanks for posting!

    6. I am glad that Bette made the right decision, now she needs to tell Tina over dinner and the reason why. It’s like Helena said “action speaks louder thatn words”, and this will speak VOLUMES to Tina. Good work Ally PPS :o).

    7. Hello AllyE, And now more of one of my favorite stories and authors on this site. I just love how you have captured the essence of Bette and Tina’s new start. Here is a relationship built on love and trust; a relationship that has endured an affair and reseulting betrayal; a realtionship that has blossomed and bloomed as two older and wiser soul reunited. Bette and Tina prove that love can overcome the deepest and widest divides. Communication is the real strength of their commitment here. Sweet to see Helena and Bette using each other as sounding boards. Interesting how time has mellow them and resulted in a true and honest friendship. Bette has made the right decision and needs to share this, along with her reasons, with Tina. It is best for them as a family and Tina needs to have her say in this. I know that she will be all for Bette continuing her maternal role. OF coures, Tina might throw sime other ideas into the mix. Perhaps a move closer to USC could be an alternative with Tina working more from home. They really need to sit now and work it all out together, factoring what is best for all of them together. Helena’s concern for Alice was touching. I do hope that there is a happy resolution out there as Alice is doing a great job of destroying the partnership that she and Tasha have. Interesting trials and tribulations for all. Thank you Ally for this splendid stroy-telling. Your Loyal Fan.
