Workshops with law enforcement personnel
Two most notable real law enforcement workshops were done by Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter and a 25 year LAPD Homicide Detective Barry Telis, who is currently to Los Angeles Police Department’s Elite Robbery-Homicide Division.
Ed Winter handled such high profile deaths and autopsies as Corey Haim, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, as well as a community service at the LA morgue by Lindsey Lohan. He told to the audience how he deals every day with mortality, paparazzi, and being in a spotlight. Incidentally, Ed is the biggest fan of “Rizzoli & Isles” and was very happy to participate in the convention.
Barry Telis presented a very interesting murder case he helped to solve, explaining step by step how detectives work, looking for clues, securing and analyzing them to find their suspects.
FYI, Chely has stated many times that she has lost many fans because she came out. But she has gained so much more, including her wife.
