It felt good to be back on American soil. As her and Lara drove up and down the coastline she was in awe of how much things had changed. New restaurants, infrastructures, and businesses inhaling the air she exhaled basking in the California sunshine. Lara hair blew in the wind as she drove them both around in their rented drop top BMW i8. They both were excited about what the day held for them both. Lara was scheduled to meet her realtor she knew the meeting would run late and that Dana wouldn’t be interested. So, it was decided Dana would drop her off and since she had time available she scheduled to finally meet up with her friends at the Planet. Again, she was excited and nervous at the same time. To kill sometime before they partied ways they did some shopping and sight-seeing.

Since she knew she would be out of the office and out of town for a few days Tasha planned on working through lunch. When her stomach growled in anger she knew immediately she needed something to eat. Walking out of her office she notified her secretary she was taking a quick lunch and would be back in a few. Once she got inside her truck she glanced down at her phone to see if she had any messages from Alice, there were none. She treated herself to a sourdough jack with curly fries combo at Jack In the Box. When she returned to her office she noticed her secretary smirking at her.

“What’s with the smirk?”

“Oh, nothing, “she says handing her some paperwork, “Here is your flight itinerary and hotel information, “she says through giggles. Tasha giving up walks towards her office when she gets to her door she turns around to look at her secretary.

“Do you know what it feels like to stand in the unemployment line?”

“Nope.”

“You want to find out?”

“C’mon Tash I said I was sorry you know I really need my job! Yes, I shouldn’t have changed my out of office voicemail message to say I was out of the office picking up bitches.”

“Yes, you shouldn’t have, “she says walking towards her desk, “But I’m not gonna lie that shit was funny.”
