Tina walked into the office just after 9am, Kelly looked at her confused.
“Why you even here?” Kelly asked
“Why are you here? I heard you were here till 4am” Tina sat at her desk
“I have meetings…Again why are you here?”
“Bette went to work” Tina looked deflated
“Are you kidding me?”
“Afraid not, she didn’t say a word to me this morning, she got up organised and left” Tina stated “Lisa dropped her and Mason off”
“Well at least she didn’t drive”
“That’s because her car is at the repair shop” Tina explained
Kelly got up putting on the kettle.
“So Jess recorded a killer song last night like oh my god I could have killed her for not letting us hear it…want to know when she wrote it.”
Tina looked at Kelly
“Just after her 21st birthday, it’s frigging awesome” Kelly smiled
“Let me hear” Tina said
Kelly walked over to her computer and pressed play “I’ve literally had it on since 8am”
“What’s it called?” Tina asked
“Secret love song”
Tina laughed
“Her voice sounds incredible on this track” Tina agreed
“I know right!”
Lisa walked into the office and sat beside Tina
“Well that was the most awkward drive of my life” Lisa sighed “What’s happening Mum?”
“I’ve not got a clue yet but something needs to happen” Tina stated
“Did you let her hear the song she wrote bout Mama?” Lisa asked
“Nope Jess said no-one is to hear it”
“Mum isn’t no-one besides I have an idea and I need Mum’s help” Lisa explained
“Jess will kill me”
“Leave Jess to me” Lisa stated “Let Mum hear it”
Kelly handed Tina a set of headphone and then pressed play on her computer.
The tears made their way down Tina’s face, Lisa got up lifting the tissues from the desk and handed them to Tina, sitting back down and taking Tina’s hand.
“This is when you realise how observant Jess actually is, she doesn’t miss a thing” Tina sighed “When did you hear this?”
“Last night, you know what Jess is like she doesn’t talk about her feelings unless it’s in a song” Lisa laughed
“What time is she due in here?” Tina asked
“11am she has meetings and an interview with you Lisa did you know about it?”

Hmm, i really don’t know what to say. Thank god i am not familiar with terrible diseases, but i can understand and believe this is hard to deal with, Bette because she got the cancer and always hiding her feelings and fears , but she needs to open up to Tina and her family.
Tina and the family must not push Bette to hard to open up, give her time and let her feel with small things that they love her, like the song Jess wrote.
Great update as always!
