Chapter 25
Bette climbed out of the taxi that had taken her from her parents’ apartment to the lesbian bar where she knew that Tina was. She had been surreptitiously texting Tina most of the evening and she had learnt that Shane was pretty drunk and two girls had already been in a fight over her. She also knew that Tina was horny and REALLY wanted to see her as soon as possible.
She walked into the bar and glanced around -the bar was half full and she recognised a few faces from other clubs and bars she had been in over the years.
Tina was near the back of the bar – Bette stood and admired her ass that looked so tasty in tight black jeans and a white tee-shirt. She had her back to Bette as she stood talking to a younger woman that Bette assumed was the infamous Shane. Bette walked closer to Tina and very blatantly squeezed her ass. Tina swung round ready to berate whoever had taken that liberty with her. Her expression changed completely when she saw that the ass squeezer was the one woman who had freedom to touch her anywhere and anytime.

“Hey sexy “Bette replied
Tina flung her arms around her and kissed her “Hi “
“Hi yourself “
Bette returned the kiss and almost in a nano-second the kiss had become hot and demanding on both parts. A cough brought Bette to her senses for a second – she eased away and looked at the younger woman. She was very slim and had short, dark hair – Bette had seen her type hundreds of times in clubs – she would have appeal with lots of different women but would not give her heart to any of them.
“Hello “Bette said keeping one arm around Tina’s waist
“You must be Bette “
“You must be Shane “
The two women shook hands
“I have heard a lot about you this evening “Shane said watching Tina who was grinning
“I have heard a lot about you – women fighting over you “
“Yes “Shane said dryly “When Ti hasn’t been talking about you she has been sending you messages “
“I am pleased to meet you Shane – would you like a drink? What about you Tina?”
“Yeah – beer for me thanks “
“Same for me “
“Might cost you a kiss “Bette smiled
Tina obliged with a lingering kiss that caused Shane to look away – that was the sort of kiss that shouldn’t be seen in public. Bette winked at Tina before walking away towards the bar.
Tina beamed her biggest grin at Shane
“Well? “she challenged her friend
“She’s “Shane searched for the word- hot just wouldn’t suffice here – Bette was beyond hot.
“She is smouldering “Shane said finding a word that would express her opinion
“You have no idea just how smouldering she is “Tina replied
“And you do “
“Hell Shane – she’s fantastic “
“Does she kiss you like that in private “
Tina smiled “Yes “
“You seem really taken with her “
“I am – how could I not be – she’s beautiful “
“She is – but I get the impression from the way you have been talking about her that she has the
personality to go with her looks “
Tina shook her head “She is just sweet “
“Hot and sweet “
“Not always in that order “Tina admitted
“This isn’t casual any more is it?” Shane knew Tina too well
Tina blew her cheeks out “It started that way and now – well its only been 10 days – its early”
“After 10 days you can make a guess as to whether it’s got legs or not “
Shane was gently trying to lead her friend into admitting that she was falling fast for the brunette.
Shane hated seeing Tina getting her heart broken time and time again. She hoped that each new woman
would be the one but in the end they all turned out to be utter bitches who betrayed Tina’s gentle and loving personality – the blonde deserved better. Shane waited as Tina struggled with her feelings
“This is so unexpected for me “
“You thought she would hurt you?”
Tina looked behind her to see where Bette
“I misjudged her “
“How?”
“I thought that she just wanted to fuck me “
“And she doesn’t?”
“Well yes its sexual – there is just the most fantastic atmosphere between us – she drives me crazy with
desire “
“I am not surprised “
“But there’s something else there “
“It could develop?” Shane said encouragingly
“It is developing – the more time I spend with her the more I just want to be with her more and more. She’s fascinating and she’s genuinely interested in me “
“Why wouldn’t she be?”
Tina shrugged “You know me Shane – not much luck “
“I know – maybe she’s the one to change your losing streak “
“I hope so “
“Are you spending the night with her?”
Tina smiled “I don’t know – we weren’t going to see one another but it was obvious this afternoon that
we did really want to see one another – she’s been to dinner with her family”
“Well I will stay for a drink then I might leave you two alone – gooseberry is not my favourite fruit”
“You don’t have to shoot off “
“You two are at the needing to be alone stage – I am sure that there will be other nights when I can get
to know her “
Tina laughed “This is the first time in 10 days we have made it out of her apartment “
“What about your first date?”
“We spent it in her bed “
“Dirty girls “Shane concluded laughing to herself at how happy Tina seemed. If this woman was different
then there would be no-one happier for Tina than Shane.

Shane stayed for two more beers before excusing herself citing another engagement. Left alone Tina
grinned at Bette
“She likes you “
“I like her “
“My mother disapproves of her – she thinks that if there is any leading astray to be done you can bet your
ass that Shane is the one to be doing it “
“Is she?”
“She can resist everything but temptation “Tina said stealing the Oscar Wilde quote.
“I can see that she’s popular with the right sort of lesbian “
“You have no idea how much chaos she can cause just by walking into a bar or a club “
“I think I can guess – one girl walked past the booth three times in five minutes”
Tina chucked “That sounds typical behaviour where Shane is around. There are some who would say that
she was an amoral so a so but she’s not like that “
“You obviously adore her “
“I do – she’s been there for me during the bad times “
Bette nodded her approval “That’s good enough for me – I was wondering actually if you would like to
meet Helena at some point “
Tina looked at her in surprise
“Really ?”
