    How could this happen?

    Random pieces of clothing were strewn throughout the lamp lit room. Skirts, halter tops, shirts, and pants of all colors and textures covered the once clean floor of Spencer’s sanctuary. The girl in question was frantically tearing through her wardrobe in search of the perfect outfit for the night. It was Saturday which meant that her, Ashley, and Aiden were going to Gray to dance and watch Dano DJ. Clay, Chelsea, Sean, Boz, and Glen were coming as well but in a separate car.

    She welcomed the break in her hectic life. The homework, awkward silence from Glen, and increasing visits from her mother were slowly pushing her over the delicate line between madness and sanity. School was school and could be dealt with pen or pencil but her older brother’s uncharacteristically distant behavior was something that couldn’t be so easily taken care of.

    He knew about her and Ashley. Hell the whole school knew by then but she couldn’t have cared less. There hadn’t been nearly as much retaliation as she’d expected initially which only further proved her theory that people had better things to do than to worry about two love-struck teenage girls. However, when one of those girls is your little sister, things get a little harder to ignore.

    As much as she loved her brother, with his ego the size of Jay Leno’s chin, she wasn’t going cave into his crap and so, she responded to his lack of communication with her own silence. Of course Clay noticed this and did his best to get both of them to talk to each other, but whenever the blond boy was in the same vicinity as her, he’d turn around and hobble out on his crutches.

    Growling in frustration, she put on what had to be the 12th shirt that night. The mirror reflected her image; it fit well, accentuated her curves in all the right places… it was just the wrong color. “Shit.”

    “No swearing honey.” Arthur said, his voice slightly muffled by the closed door as his footsteps padded down the hallway.

    “Sorry dad.” She blew away a few stray hairs that had fallen in front of her face and continued her search. Picking out a pair of overly expensive jeans she managed to beg her mother into buying for her a few months ago, she stepped into them and began pulling them up.

    9. wow. first of all thank you for the jam packed 7 pages. and secondly, great plotline thus far, all the straight description of how Spashley gets it on gets kind of dry and tiresome. man, i love dano…in a platonic sort of way. esp when she tells glen to shut the fuck up. anyways, keep up the good work. =)
