Tina gave Bette a half smile and leaned forward to say something to the cab driver. Tina waved and Bette felt crushed, thinking Tina was going to leave. Just as she was ready to turn around, Tina reached up and drew a heart on the fogged window. Bette smiled nervously and watched Tina step out of the car. They stood in the middle of the parking lot surrounded by cars, alone under the stars, both waiting for the other to initiate the conversation. Tina took the first step.

That heart I just drew… thats all Im saying, Bette. The rest is up to you. Tina crossed her arms across her chest stubbornly.

Bette remained silent and covered her face with her hands, rubbing her eyes before dragging her fingers across her cheeks. The chorus from a song ran through her head, should I stay or should I go. She didnt even need to answer that thought because looking at Tina in front of her made her want to run over and sweep her off her feet.

For once in my life Im not going anywhere. Bette began. Unless you are there with me. She finished.

Good start. Tina said.

Even better. Tina pursed her lips.

I know I was terrible this week and I wish I could reverse time, but I cant. And honestly, it was something I needed to deal with by myself. I ran but Im so grateful it wasnt far. I freaked out. I dont know what else to say. It wont happen again, I promise. Please trust that, Tina. I have never met anyone like you before. Bette stepped closer to Tina and reached out to tuck a piece of blonde hair behind her ear. *****, Tina I almost lost you. I was such a fool. Ive never done this before… this two people in love thing. I dont know how to act or anything.
