All in a days work
Bette and James spent one of their last few days on the east coast in separate locations. Rayne took Bette to the DIA Entertainment offices in Atlantic City, to talk with the Marketing VP for the project Rayne pitched to Kit. James was taken to Englewood, NJ acting in Bettes stead with the very aggressive curator at the newly opened Ojos del Alma (Eyes of the Soul). Kysera Migdalia Consuelos, painter, turned reluctant gallery owner wanted to go back to painting full time and have someone else manage her gallery. In addition, she wanted help promoting the gallery on the west coast and wasnt taking no for an answer. The action-packed day was brought to a close when James finally produced enough satisfying information for Kysera Consuelos to review and contact he or Bette later. The car came to take him back to the city and waited for them at the hotel. Bette and Rayne were stuck in traffic heading north to NYC.
I cant stand traffic, but at least its not as bad as LA, Rayne fussed. I dont know how you do it, Rayne was thankful they used a car service.
Im used to it, was Bettes unaffected rebuttal. So, weve only got a couple more days left, what fun things do you have planned? Bette grinned.
That depends on how much mischief youd like to get into, Rayne deviously replied.
And that supposed means? Bette playfully asked.
Well, youre in New York City and you can get away with doing almost anything. So basically, youre only in trouble if you get caught, Rayne factually stated. But, Rayne paused, if I recall correctly, youve had enough trouble havent you? Raynes comment sounded like both a question and accusation.
Bette was silent for a moment and considered Raynes non-chalant attitude. What exactly are you saying Rayne, Bette was mildly offended.
Bette, lets not mince words okay? Rayne said firmly. Word travels fast and I know your situation at home. I personally dont get caught in hearsay and speculation, but this came from a good source, so I listened, Rayne offered. So again, I leave the choice to you. I can leave you to your devices or take you out, the choice is yours.

Dammmmmnnnnnnnnnnn, where the hell did this come from? LOL BluJewel I give you your props, you put it down on this one! I see why this chapter had you in turmoil, but it was definitely worth it. when Bette said, “You’re making my pussy feel things I didn’t know it could,” I was so surprised that I had to re-read that line three times to make sure I wasn’t seeing things.
