Dana couldnt remember a time when she felt so guilty. All the times she fooled around with Alice before breaking the engagement with Tonya didnt even compare to this. The timing was off and Dana couldnt figure out if she proposed too early or if all this stuff was happening because she did propose. She wondered if it was a sort of punishment, after all didnt Shane say that karma was going to bite them big time. She stared at Alice sleeping in their bed, while she held clothes in her arms. She didnt want to wake Alice, she looked so peaceful. She put the clothes in her bag and went to retrieve her tennis racket from across the room. She tiptoed quietly around the bed and then cursed as she stubbed her toe on the bed frame.

Alice groaned and opened her eyes slightly, Baby, you ok?

Dana sat down to rub her foot. Yeah, just hurt myself a little.

Are you dressed? What time is it? Alice rolled over to look at the clock, *****, four a.m. She collapsed down back on to her pillow.

Al, I have my tour. I have to leave today. Remember Ive been telling you about this?

When were you planning on telling me? The sarcasm dripped her mouth.

Dana grew defensive, I found out last minute, ok? She bowed her head and ran her hands through her hair and down her neck.

I dont know. A week and a halftwo weeks.

Dane, *****. God, when are we going to dinner with the others?

Well, you must have known earlier, we could have thrown together a little get together tonight.

Damnit, Alice. Well do it when I get back. *****! Whats the big rush? Dana jumped off the bed, flipped on the light, and began rummaging through her bag making sure she packed everything.

Ahh, Dane. Alice buried her head under the covers.
