    (B&T Beginning Set on College Campus – SEQUEL to THE ROOMMATES)

    Bette tore her eyes away from Danas thin gyrating body at the sound of her girlfriends voice. Hey, T. You look beautiful, baby. Turn around and let me see you., she said with a smile.

    Tina smiled. Bette, its just a t-shirt.

    Yes, but you look stunning. Humor me., said Bette.

    With a roll of her eyes, Tina did a small spin in her new Dance Marathon t-shirt. Bettes dark eyes roamed over the purple fabric and smiled when she saw the wording on the back: Presented by the UCLA ***** Alliance

    Happy tears came to her eyes and she blinked to hide the evidence of her heartfelt emotions. The dark-haired beauty slid her arms around Tinas waist and held her from behind. Absolutely stunning, T., she whispered into her girlfriends ear.

    Thank you., said Tina.

    No, thank you. I love you, T., said Bette.

    I love you too, Bette., said Tina, her brow slightly knotted in confusion. She was about to turn around and ask her girlfriend why shed said thank you, when she spotted Dana grinding against Alice, the blonde reporters hands resting comfortably on the tennis players hips.

    What in the *****?, asked Tina.

    I know, baby. I dont know whether to laugh or cry., said Bette with a chuckle.

    Tina felt like a protective parent. She and Dana were the same age, yet she somehow felt that she was responsible for her romantically inexperienced friend. What is she doing?, asked Tina.

    Bette shrugged. Getting her groove on?

    Circumstances have a way of altering our mentality, rearranging our priorities, and changing our outlook on the world around us. Bette Porters circumstances had changed her. Prior to Tinas decision to come out, the dark-haired beautys loving spirit had been malnourished; surviving on snippets of Melvins conditional love, memories of her mothers now-absent smile, and the irresolute affections of her well-intentioned girlfriend. Tinas unconditional love and pledge to remain by Bettes side had soothed the caramel womans aching spirit, filling all the cracks and crevices inflicted by previous hurts and paralyzing uncertainties, replenishing her burdened soul.

    Not only did Bette Porter have Tinas profession of love swirling around her mind, but she could see that love with her own eyes. They were in a room full of people and yet Bette had her arms wrapped around her girlfriends slender form, her chin cradled softly on a purple-shirted shoulder, the scent of Tinas shampoo tickling her senses, the feel of damp blonde hair resting against her caramel cheek. In a little over 2 hours, Bette had gone from the bitter depths of isolation and despair to the euphoric heights of her girlfriends private and public expressions of love.

    9. This is a great story. I just get worried sometimes, since they have gotten together so young. I just don’t want them to break up. I’m just so happy for the progress they’ve made. It’s great how you’ve worked Alice in. I’m anxiously awaiting to see how you’ll weave Shane, into this group. It could be years down the road. But, I’ll still be reading. Thanks for sharing.

I too like the idea of one great night… but of course that other side of my brain is kicking in with “that means that the next day or very soon B&T are going to get a call from AngryHomophobicKennards! or CrazyProtectiveMelvin. lol anyway, I’m sure the characters will do what they can to get through these situations. Woo…Tina sure laid it out on Alice, I guess she deserved every bit of Tina’s anger…but of course, Tina’s gentle side overcame her bitterness towards Alice and accepted her as a friend, which I think is pretty awesome of her=D ““Mmmhmmm.”, said Tina, her eyes still closed. She was watching something much more important. Behind her closed lids, she was watching their commitment ceremony, Bette’s first pregnancy, the birth of their first child, their home life together, evenings wrapped in each other’s arms, soft candle light, decades of loving memories, and growing old together.”…WHOA, Bette’s the pregnant one in the future, that’s a cool change=P…Either way, both LH&JB are two very FINE HOT MAMAs!! All who agree say HELL YEAH!!…Heartfelt chapter MTS…thanks so much for posting…it’s 816pm here in Hawaii so you just made my night=D Much mahalos!
