In a deafening uproar of engines, the plane started its acceleration on the concrete, and soon left the ground and rose up into the air.
Inside, as the children watched, a bit anxious but mostly fascinated, the roofs of Santa Maria shrink before their eyes, Tina suddenly turned to Bette, who was sitting in the seat beside her, and looking at her she whispered in amazement,
“Oh my god… It’s the first time that I am not afraid on a plane…”
CHAPTER 35
As soon as the plane reached its cruising altitude, Shane joined Bette and Tina and sat in front of them.
“Tina, I’m so glad to finally meet you.” She addressed the blonde, “Carmen has told me so much about you.”
“I’m very happy too, Shane. I confess that she didn’t have much reserve about you either.” Tina replied with a smile, shaking the young woman’s hand.
“And Bette has told me all about your exploits as well.” She added, looking at the brunette.
“Ouch…! Not sure about that one.” Shane joked, “Look, whatever she said is a lie!”
“So you wish…” Bette smiled, arching a brow.
“Oh, then she must have talked about someone else, cause it’s was only praises.” Tina commented wittily.
They laughed heartedly, which felt very good after the tension of the last hours.
“Tina,” Shane said more seriously, after the laughter had died, “You should know that Helena really wanted to come with us. But, uh… we… we didn’t think it was a good idea… And I had offered to make the trip with Mark anyway, so there was no real need for her to come. Not to mention the risks… Well, you know…” The young woman mumbled, obviously not very comfortable.
Tina gave her a reassuring smile. She knew exactly what Shane meant. She knew that this ‘we’ didn’t refer to Shane or Carmen. This ‘we’ involved all of Helena’s little entourage. The one that would always make sure that Helena Peabody was safe, and fit, and to her full working capacity. The one that would always make sure that nothing happened to a woman who was well known to be several hundred million dollars’ worth and who certainly represented the most ideal target for any rebellious armed group.

I know her business keeps her hopping but I think Helena can feel Tina pulling away from her and that is why she is keeping her distance so she wont have to hear her say she thinks they are better off just being friends. Great chapter by the way.

oh boy i thought this would be a happy chapter :P but pff so much drama.. so please let them be together tonight, i can’t stand a sad tina.. and of course it would be heaven for bette if tina choose her! i never got it why tina maired helena in the first place but grr this is too much! i wanna thank you for this update and i’m looking forward to the next :) i hope to see a very happy bette and tina :D happy newyear to all!

If I was Tina I would have left Helena’s inconsiderate but a long time ago. I hope Tina ends it soon so she can truly be with Bette. Have a Happy New Year
