Tina walked quickly toward the War Room to meet with the Council. For almost an hour, she debated over what to wear. Outfits are very crucial when meeting such a critical bunch like the Council. If she had worn a dress, she might not have been taken as serious as say wearing something covered in armor. She wanted to show authority and power. She wanted the Council to see that she had the ability to take over for her incapacitated father.

She finally opted for the attire she never had gotten to wear. It was chain mail armor that was only to be worn if Tina fought with the army. Her father was way beyond overprotective, not to mention Bette’s protective nature so Tina never got the chance to don the armor let alone fight in any battles.

Thankfully at least Bette gave her self defense lessons and some intense weapon training or else she wouldn’t have lasted this long. Its hard being a Princess sometimes.

Tina had spent the entire morning with her father, feeling guilty because she couldn’t help but want to leave to speak with the Council. She loved her father but Bette’s life was on the line.

The emotional turmoil between seeing her father just this morning and spending such a short amount of time with Bette the night before had taken Tina’s body to the brink of exhaustion. She hadn’t eaten well or slept. She could only hope she kept up a strong persona while in front of the Council, her lover’s life depended on it.

Bette walked swiftly and quietly through the long halls of Jodi’s fortress. She made her way to the army quarters, knocking on a door then on the one beside it. She stepped back in between both doors and waited as two of her friends emerged a second later.

To her left was Shane and to her right was Dana. Her two most trusted friends and allies. They were both dressed in battle armor and looked much too alert for such a late hour. It was obvious they hadn’t been sleeping.
