"Are you both ready?"

They both nodded as Shane turned her head to look down the left hallway and then turned it the other way to look down the right hallway.

"Where’s Tim?"

Bette sadly shook her head, "He’s going to stay. He says he can buy us time if someone realizes we’ve gone missing"

Shane nodded, her lips in a thin line but Bette could easily see the sadness in her eyes. The brunette glanced over to Dana who was looking rather rattled.

"Are you sure you want to go through with this? There’s no turning back after this point"

Dana instantly nodded, "I’m with you to the end"

No hesitation and there was pure loyalty in her tone and expression. Bette couldn’t have had a better friend.

Bette took a second to look at her friends. They were ready and willing to follow her to the end and back. Never would she have thought she would have found such loyalty in such a dark and twisted place. These two were her sanctuary, she only hoped they made it through this in one piece. It would be one hell of a journey to freedom that much was certain.

Bette took a deep breath and gave her friends one swift nod, "Let’s get out of this hell hole"

"Which way now?"

Bette, Shane and Dana were panting from all their running. A few minutes prior, Dana had accidentally knocked over a candlestick holder and now the three women were running for their lives.

They reached a T-shaped intersection in the fortress and both Dana and Shane looked to Bette for further directions.

Bette looked down both hallways before motioning to the one on the left.

"This way"

As they ran down the hallway, a group of 6 Gooru rounded a corner up ahead and charged the women full speed. All three of them unsheathed their swords and plowed right into the group. They fought their way though, earning cuts and bruises but escaping with their lives.
