    Chapter 20

The next day each of the lawyers was driven by each of their respective agents to a small facility where a private jet was awaiting them.

    “Are you serious?!” Alice exclaimed.

“Did you honestly think that we would just show up in JFK and board a plane without going unnoticed?” Helena replied sarcastically.

“When you put it that way…” Alice said oblivious to the sarcasm in her friend’s voice for she was just unable to shake her excitement of flying in a private plane.

“Ok, we’re all set. Are you ready?” Bette politely asked the three lawyers.

“Already?” Alice asked in surprise since it seemed that they had just gotten there.

“Yeah, already” Bette answered trying to disguise her amusement, for they had been standing there for the last thirty minutes.

“Don’t pay any attention to her, please” Tina confidently replied and grabbed her friend’s arm in order to move her towards the jet.

“Wait, where’s Dana?” Alice asked as she noticed the absence of her personal hot FBI Agent once they stepped inside the plane, something similar to what the other blonde was experiencing regarding the hot FBI Agent of her own.

“Dana and Bette will be flying the plane” Shane commented lightly, as if it was an everyday event.

“Wait WHAT?!” Alice asked almost in horror. “They know how to operate planes?”

“No, actually this is probably their first solo experience… you know besides the flight simulator” Helena replied before Shane had the chance to.

“Funny” Alice’s answer was dripping sarcasm for she had noticed her friend was making fun of her this time.

“Then stop asking stupid questions” Helena quickly added to her friend’s display.

“Stop fighting! Both of you” Peggy ordered and it was as if she was talking to both of her children, instead of just her daughter. “They are not always like this” The older woman said to Agent Cooper, who in turn simply smiled, truly amused at the whole situation.

“I can assure you Alice, they know what they’re doing and is not the first time they are doing this” Shane tried to respectfully answer to the rather nervous blonde.

After four hours of a calm and quiet flight they landed in what looked like another small and private facility, where several polarized cars were waiting for them. Before they even had the chance to adjust to being on firm land again, each of the lawyers was driven to a huge colonial style house that seemed to be in the middle of a forest.

    1. Thanks for the update. I agree with talaula with the lack of communication leading to misunderstanding. Besides the fact that Tina is so confused about herself. She keeps sending mixed messages to Bette which must be pretty frustrating. If she doesn’t get it cleared up with herself soon, she will loose any chance she might have had with Bette. But if there’s anyone who can fix this mess its Anne… have at her. Love to see where you’re going to go with the storyline.

    2. Nothing like misunderstanding and lack of communication causing great drama. Geez 😁 get it together you 2 👭 thanks Annie! Maybe Bette should have an ex enter the picture, I don’t know how that would work. 😾Just make it work it Annie 🙉
