Unanswered Questions?? – Season 6 Episode 7

In season 6 Bette and Tina decided they were going to adopt a baby instead of one of them actually birthing the child themselves. They choose a donor name Marci due to the fact she was carrying a biracial child, and not only did they wanted the baby to reflect them but they also wanted the baby to look more like Angelica who was the perfect combination of the two. Bette and Tina goes to visit Marci and was completely berated by her parents, but despite their prejudice and bigot ways, Marci chooses Bette and Tina anyway…also revealing that she’s having a boy in which they couldn’t be more happier for obvious reasons. In her last month of pregnancy, it was agreed that she would stay with Tina and Bette because the state she currently resides in, Nevada, doesn’t recognize same sex adoptions. Bette and Tina goes to pick up Marci at the station but she never shows. Bette and Tina were completely devasted and that is where the scene leaves us wondering what the hell happened? Why didn’t Marci show up?…here is my version of the whole unedited scene.
Unanswered Questions?? -Season 6 Episode 7
Bette and Tina pulls up at the station and parked, completely worn out from last night’s dance competition in which they lost to Jodi who received 10 points from every judge. Although not winners, they still danced beautifully to ”Back to Life” by Soul II Soul…and now they await in the car this early cloudy morning for Marci’s bus to arrive.
Bette: So do we tell Marci about New York?
Tina: You really serious about this?
Tina wanted to make sure this was the decision Bette wanted and not because she felt obligated to go because of her job offer.
Bette: It just feel really right to me, I don’t know when another opportunity like this will come along.
Tina: What about the gallery?
Bette: I can work from New York, I probably have to be out there most of the time anyway.
Tina: And our friends?
Bette: I love our friends, I love them alot but you know at a certain point…I have to trust that they’re more like our family…and just because we leave LA…doesn’t mean we’re leaving them.

I can accept that answer as to why she didn’t turn up. Accepting it does not make it any less sad though.
Sad, just sad, i can understand why, but stil sad.
Thanks for posting this story.
I agree with everyone, it was very sad.
Excellent your version of why marci
not appear.
I never tire of saying how much I admire the creativity
which has its stories.
